A Christian preacher in Texas is receiving praise online after he forced a mosque to shut down its open house by protesting outside the event.

The video showed the preacher standing outside the mosque and using a microphone to preach against Islam. He appeared to have been there for some time, as several men from the mosque could be seen bringing traffic cones inside the property while he continued speaking.

The preacher continued speaking critically about the Quran and Islam. He claimed that the Quran and Muslims are “anti-Christ” and described Muslims as “cursed,” while appearing to suggest that they would go to hell because of their beliefs. These statements reflect the preacher’s religious views and were not presented as established facts.

The preacher continued making inflammatory statements about Islam, describing it as a “Satanic cult” and comparing Muslims to pedophiles. He also made insulting remarks about the Prophet Muhammad before claiming that parents who brought their children to the mosque should have their children removed. He concluded by saying that there was something wrong with Muslims. The mosque was later alleged to have shut down its open house because of the protest.

The rise of Islamophobic rhetoric in the United States has contributed to increasingly hostile discussions about Muslims and Islam, particularly in political and social media spaces. Some critics make broad claims that Islam is inherently incompatible with Christianity, with certain individuals going further by describing Muslims or the Quran as “anti-Christ.” Such statements can generalize about more than two million American Muslims and blur the distinction between legitimate theological disagreements and prejudice toward an entire religious community.

While Christians and Muslims have significant differences in their beliefs about Jesus, including Christianity’s belief in his divinity and Islam’s rejection of that doctrine, characterizing all Muslims as anti-Christian can reinforce stereotypes and contribute to discrimination.

Viewers Praise Texas Preacher Over Protest Outside Mosque

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers praised the Texas preacher for his protest and celebrated the reported shutdown of the mosque’s open house. Several commenters also echoed his criticisms of Islam and made broader claims about Muslims. “Islam doesn’t belong in America. Why? Listen to what Islamic religious leaders speak about openly in the USA. It’s always about overthrowing the US constitution and installing a Caliphate and killing all non Muslims. There is no such thing as a moderate Muslim they all follow the Quran and never condemn Islamic terrorism. Get them out NOW!” one person wrote.

More viewers continued expressing support for the preacher, with some calling for mosques to be shut down or removed. “Bring in the bulldozers and level the mosque. Islam has no place in the West,” one person wrote. Another said, “Way to do it! Also do their call to prayer with loudspeakers!” Someone else added, “More! Shut them all down permanently. They are not welcome here anymore.”

The video sparked a conversation about the line between exercising free speech and targeting an entire religious community. It also led to broader discussion about why some people oppose Islam’s presence in the United States and whether protests that attack a religion or its followers should be considered justified, particularly when they involve broad generalizations about Muslims.
