Earlier this month, Activision sent a variety of Call of Duty streamers and content creators a package; in the package, recipients discovered a projector and slides. After examing these slides, the recipients would be guided to Call of Duty Black Ops 4. After exploring CoD: BO4, the community discovered clues leading to the 1972 chess match between Boris Spassky and Rober James Fisher. From studying the films @Noah J456 and others discovered that the moves made during the match correlated with different letters. These letters led the community to Pawntakespawn.com/tv. On the page the number showcased the numbers “8-14” and “12:00” instead of a Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War trailer.
Yesterday, many suspected that Activision or Treyarch would officially reveal Call of Duty 2020. Instead, Pawn Takes Pawn updated with a videotape labeled 1961 – 62 v1 and a sticky note. On the sticky note, the phrases tangled web and EMC2 can be clearly seen. By clicking the videotape, the tape goes into the VCR and starts the video. On the old TV, key moments through 1961 can be seen; the video includes news about the Space Race, the Civil Rights Movement, and The Cold War.
Throughout the video, numbers flicker occasionally across the screen (37, 25, and 48). At one point during the video, the VCR reads “WZ-H6-49285 163.” This code led the Call of Duty Community to a farmhouse in Warzone. In the farmhouse, a keypad is next to a locked door. After entering 49285 163 into the keypad, the door unlocks. Inside the room, players discover a bunch of classified documents, ciphers, and an old computer mainframe.
The Clues Continue
If you go to https://pawntakespawn.com/emc2, you will see a blacked-out note. If each blacked outline represents a single day, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will be announced on August 19th. This note also means that new clues will be available leading up to the official review. Below we will be linking a video of the room and the documents within.
The code displayed on the VCR display opens a locked door at the Krovnik Farmland in #Warzone.
