Since they found the lifeless body of The Sopranos‘ Frank Vallelonga Jr., many have waited for the autopsy reports to ascertain how the actor passed away. After waiting a few months, the Medical Examiner’s Office finally revealed the cause of Frank Vallelonga’s death.
Inside Frank’s Tragic Demise
During the early hours of November 28, 2022, the New York Police Department and the Emergency Medical Services responded to a call of an unconscious male. The male was in front of 1243 Oak Point Avenue in the Bronx.
Upon arrival at the location, the adult male, identified as Frank, was found unresponsive and eventually pronounced deceased. At the time, reports revealed that the actor was thrown out of a car and left outside a sheet metal manufacturing factory.
Initial investigations by the police also revealed the likely cause of Frank Vallelonga’s death was a drug overdose. Shortly after the police discovered Frank’s body, they arrested suspect Steven Smith and charged him with the concealment of a human corpse.
According to an NYPD spokesperson, surveillance footage captured the 35-year-old suspect pushing Frank’s body out of a car. Steven allegedly admitted to the act but denied any involvement with the actor’s death.
Steven said Frank had already died from an overdose before a woman named Pam approached him for help. According to the suspect, she asked for assistance in disposing of the body of someone who had overdosed.
In January 2023, a judge issued an arrest warrant when Steven failed to appear at Bronx Criminal Court. The current state of events remains unknown.
