Kamala Harris’s campaign has received a last-minute endorsement that frankly might change the game. As the days to the 2024 Presidential elections draw close, most of Hollywood has come out to reveal who they are supporting. Each political party has been able to pull powerhouse celebrities of their own. Harris has the likes of Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift, while Donald Trump boasts of Elon Musk, Brittany Mahomes, and Mel Gibson. However, the Democratic party might just have tipped the scales with its latest support.
On Friday, Marvel stars teamed up to show their support for Madam Vice President. The group comprised Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Paul Bettany, and Danai Gurira. In a one-minute-42-second clip presented as a FaceTime call, the group, famous for being the Avengers, endorsed Harris. “It is our pleasure to come together and get the vote out this election,” Gurira, who plays Okoye, said. As Ruffalo, who portrays Hulk, spoke about the teams’ voting plans, Downey Jr, famous for Iron Man, quipped, “I think Kamala Harris needs a catchphrase.“
However, before the group descended into chaos, Captain America’s Evans stepped in to offer one of his character’s famous catchphrases. “I’m just off the top of my head. I can do this all day,” he said. Unfortunately, the team rejected Evans’s idea. On and on each person went, trying to give a catchphrase specific to their on-screen characters, trying to get a one-liner for Harris like most superheroes have. Luckily, they settled on a slogan suggested by Bettany, who plays Vision. “I’m Kamala Harris and I am down with democracy,” Cheadle, who plays James Rhodes, voiced.
Fans Say Donald Trump Is Done After Kamala Harris Gets The Avengers
As expected, an Avengers reunion sent the Internet spiraling, with many calling the endorsement a final blow to Trump’s run for the presidency.
“Getting the Avengers to help out is crazy,” one fan wrote.
“No way Kamala pulled out the Avengers. It’s so over for Trump,” a second comment read.
“The game is absolutely on, and the Avengers did not come to play but to endorse Kamala Harris,” this third fan observed.
“It’s great to see the Avengers cast coming together for such a cause! Their influence can make a significant impact on the campaign,” a fourth remark read.
However, not everyone on the internet was a fan of the endorsement, with some calling it performative. “Why can’t we separate movies from politics, bro? Like this is so forced,” lamented one disappointed user.
Regardless of how people feel about the public support, getting the Avengers’ endorsement will surely bring more attention to Harris’ campaign.
