There seems to be no limit to how cruel ICE is willing to be. The brutality often seen during arrests is now being paired with efforts to further strip detainees of their dignity. New footage out of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, is the latest example, and it quickly sparked outrage online as viewers struggled to believe what they were watching.
In the video, an ICE vehicle is parked near a portable toilet with agents inside. Moments later, one agent exits the car, escorting a woman in handcuffs. He leads her toward the portable toilet, and just as she opens the door, the agent slips on the ice and falls. For a brief moment, it’s the only thing resembling humor in the clip, even drawing laughter from the person filming.
But whatever levity existed vanished almost immediately. What happened next was horrifying.
As the Minnesota ICE agent struggled to get back up after his embarrassing fall, the detainee entered the portable toilet. One would reasonably assume he would remove her handcuffs so she could use the bathroom. Instead, he followed her inside and shut the door behind them.
The moment was chilling.
Many viewers described the incident as a “concerning lapse in protocol,” while others used far stronger language. There was no clear or legitimate reason for the agent to enter the bathroom with a handcuffed woman, and that fact alone fueled widespread fear that something inappropriate may have occurred out of view. It’s difficult to imagine any scenario where his presence inside the portable toilet was necessary.
The idea that he was worried about her escaping makes little sense. Another agent remained in the vehicle nearby, and if the first agent had simply waited outside, the detainee would have used the restroom and exited. While no one can say with certainty what happened inside, most people who saw the video agree on one thing: it did not look like anything good.
People Reacting to the Shocking Scene in Minnesota
Viewers were openly disgusted by what they saw the Minnesota ICE agent do. By this point, many were convinced that something inappropriate happened to the woman inside the portable toilet, given the circumstances and the agent’s actions. The reaction online was swift and furious.
One person summed it up bluntly, writing, “This is truly vile.” Others echoed that sentiment while calling for immediate accountability. Another commenter warned, “The AG needs to be aggressive in pursuing immediate legal intervention to rein this in before it’s allowed to escalate to riots.”
Concerns about women’s safety quickly became a central focus. One person wrote, “This needs to be looked at. I’m very concerned for the women who are trapped alone with these freaks.”
A Reddit user also pointed out that the situation involved more than just one agent, noting, “Don’t forget the driver of the car knew what was happening and only tried to get out when the officer fell.” That observation only intensified calls for a full investigation into everyone involved.
Others pointed out that the scene in Minnesota exposed what they see as blatant hypocrisy among Republicans. One person wrote, “Ah, so these are the ACTUAL ‘men in women’s bathrooms’ they keep screeching about.” Another quickly followed with, “Every accusation is a confession.”
The outrage continued to build. “IKR??? Where is the MAGA rage about men in women’s bathrooms?” one commenter asked. “Where are all the jackoffs who were pounding their chests about ‘protecting women????’”
Some directed their anger at specific political figures. One person demanded, “Ok, Kristi Noem, explain this one?” That prompted a sarcastic reply imagining her response: “The detained woman obviously weaponized the snow to attack the federal officer. He had to follow her into the porta-potty because he feared for his life.”
Beneath the sarcasm and outrage, many agreed on one point: this incident deserves a serious investigation.
