Baldur’s Gate 3 is just one day away from its PC release, and Larian Studios has revealed we will be getting Twitch Drops from August 3rd to August 17th. Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t the first game to do Twitch Drops, but there are plenty of incentives to make this your first time accessing them. While the items involved in Twitch Drops aren’t going to change the game for you, they are fun little add-ons that give your character a bit more flair while traversing the dangerous and mysterious world of Baldur’s Gate 3.
How Do You Access Baldur’s Gate 3 Twitch Drops?
Luckily, you won’t need to buy the game before you can access the Twitch drops. According to Larian Studios, to unlock the Twitch Drops, you have to watch a streamer on Twitch who is streaming Baldur’s Gate 3 for a total of two hours. You can spit up your watching time across multiple channels, but you are only tracked for one hour at a time. This is likely done to prevent viewers from putting up multiple channels at once to get the rewards quicker.
The Twitch Drops in-store consist of a four-piece, purple pajama set including Chatterbox’s Tabard, Streamhopper Loafers, Periwinkle Undergarments, and Channeler’s Trunks. As mentioned, none of these are going to change your game in a meaningful way, but it’s a nice move by Larian to involve and reward the legions of backseat gamers that often check out streams before making a purchase.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most anticipated RPGs in quite some time. It has roughly 100 hours of gameplay in store and boasts tons of permutations to the story. This includes an absurd 17,000 different endings. Baldur’s Gate 3 will be playable in co-op via split-screen or online as well as single-player.
Baldur’s Gate 3 releases on August 3rd for PC and September 6th for PS5.
