The rumors appeared to be all but confirmed when Entertainment Tonight reported last weekend that the stars were “definitely broken up” after “arguing” a lot lately. However, in a surprising turn of events, Keoghan may have just hinted he and Carpenter are still together.

Just days after news broke Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan had split, the Saltburn actor surprised fans by showing the “Espresso” singer some love on social media.
It all started on Aug. 26 when the official Bratz Instagram account shared a photo of a pair of dolls that looked like Carpenter and Jenna Ortega. They were modeled after their looks from Carpenter’s “Taste” music video. Carpenter’s doll featured her signature blonde hair and curtain bangs, as well as a black, off-the-shoulder dress. Meanwhile, Ortega’s doll matched her recognizable appearance in a black, long-sleeved dress featuring a slit. The looks were inspired by the funeral scene at the end of the “Taste” music video.
The dolls captured Carpenter and Ortega’s likeness so well that Keoghan “liked” the post. He also left a flirty comment. “Can I have one?” he wrote.
Of course, fans went wild over his message. Many hoped it meant he and Carpenter were still dating. “Who said they broke up?” one fan commented. “He said f*ck the gossip,” another person wrote. “Fight the breakup allegations yesss!!” another message read.
While this could totally be a sign that Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan are still together, it’s also possible the two did breakup but decided to stay friends. I mean, the pair hasn’t been seen together in public lately. However, that could change when Carpenter attends the 2024 MTV VMAs next month. The show will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Could Keoghan be Carpenter’s date to the show? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
