Ben Affleck’s standalone Batman film is currently rumored to have appearances from most of his famous rogue’s gallery.
Originally reported by Birth.Movies.Death, “many, if not most, members of greatest detective’s rogue’s gallery will be making appearances in the film.” Affleck and comic book writer Geoff Johns are looking to create the “definitive” Batman story, with “a big, sprawling Bat universe already in place.” Of course, this doesn’t mean each character will have prominent screen time, most likely many of them will only have brief appearances or cameos. Perhaps something similar to Batman: Arkham Asylum ?
Earlier rumors suggested the movie would follow the famous Under the Red Hood storyline, but could have been canned due to the similarities it shares with Captain America: The Winter Solider.
Affleck will direct and star in the next film adaption of the caped crusader. Despite Batman V Superman getting panned by fans and critics, Ben Affleck’s portrayal of the character was mostly praised as one of best parts of the movie, giving hope to his solo film. As of now, the project does not have an official title or release date.
You can catch Ben Affleck as Batman in next year’s Justice League Part I.
