Update 5.2.1 is about to arrive for Battlefield 2042, and here are the bug fixes and changes that will arrive with this patch. The update is set to arrive next week, and it’s aiming to fix some problems that appeared with the 5.2.0 update released at the end of July. The developers focused on the game’s AI and the general game stability with this update. That’s welcome because there were increasing amounts of complaints after the previous patch went live, and we hope that 5.2.1 will be the cure we expected. Here are the patch notes for Battlefield 2042 update 5.2.1
Battlefield 2042 Update 5.2.1 Patch Notes
Changelog
AI Soldiers
- AI Soldiers will no longer stand mindlessly firing at Irish’ Fortification System, because well, they have intelligence, right?

- Improved scenarios that resulted in players receiving explosive damage through walls.
- Fixed an exploit that caused players to keep downed players in a Being Revived state.
- Lowered Dozer’s Shield Bash Range by 16%.
- Reduced Horizontal Recoil Pull on the K30.
Hazard Zone
- Resolved an issue that resulted in a downed Specialist standing up during the revive process.
As you see above, all the changes are aimed at fixing the bugs that appeared after the previous update’s release. It’s worth adding that update 5.2.0 was satisfying with its content additions, and the small changes also improved the game’s playability. Even though it was badly criticized at launch, Battlefield 2042 is consistently improving itself and lending an ear to the players. For some, the game is still unsatisfying, and those players prefer the WW1 action in Battlefield 1. We hope that the franchise will regain its reputation with the next installment.
