Months after release, Battlefield 6 – RedSec is getting a new season split into 3 phases of content that will introduce new maps, gameplay, weapons, and, most importantly, a fan-favorite game mode from Battlefield 1. Battlefield 6 Season 2 features a 3-month roadmap, with new content released every 30 days.
Battlefield 6 Season 2 Roadmap

The story of the game, in which a private military group known as Pax Armata fights NATO forces, continues, and this time they’re using a hallucinogenic gas called VL-7 to alter the war’s outcome in their favor. This is a new limited-time mode launching with a new map during the Extreme Measures phase of Battlefield 6 Season 2.
BF6 Extreme Measures: All Upcoming Content

Release Date: February 17, 2026
- New Multiplayer Map: Contaminated
- LTM: VL-7 Strike
- GRT-CPS DMR
- VCR-2 Assault Rifle
- M121 A2 Machine Gun
- HTI-MK2 Gadget
- 9K38 IGLA Launcher
Season 2 is the largest to date, introducing a new large-scale map, Contaminated, along with 5 new weapons. The latest Battlefield 6 map, contaminated, and both game modes in RedSec will feature the VL-7 smoke as part of the gameplay. The gas will not kill players, but it sure will drive any trooper crazy!
BF6 Nightfall: All Upcoming Content

Release Date: March 17
- New Multiplayer Map: Hagental Base
- LTM: Nightfall
- New RedSec Map POI: Defense Testing Complex 3 – Fort Lyndon
- CZ3A1 Submachine Gun
- VZ. 61 Sidearm
- M1030-1 Vehicle
Battlefield 6 Season 2 starts the second phase with NVGs as the primary tool of combat. The Nightfall LTM will be available in both Battlefield 6 Multiplayer and RedSec, allowing players to either take advantage of the dark or blind their opponents with flashlights. A smaller-sized map, Hagental Base, is introduced in MP, and a new POI taking players under Fort Lyndon in RedSec Battle Royale is expected to be added to the game.
BF6 Hunter/Pray

Release Date: April 14
- New Mode: Operation Augur
- LTV Vehicle
- Ripper 14 Machete
The amount of content in the last phase of Battlefield 6 Season 2 is short, but there’s one thing that’s keeping the hype going: Operations. The LTM of Hunter/Pray is Operation Augur, where players decide the outcome of the war going on between NATO and Pax Armata in the new season.
Battlefield 6 started Season 1 with more maps, and now Season 2 is more focused on LTMs and modifiers that refresh gameplay. So overall, there are fewer maps and more ways to play; a new, unique approach that might just become a new standard.
