As someone who went to see the Daredevil movie, I can say that Ben Affleck has made one hell of a comeback in the arena of superhero movies. To fail at Daredevil only to get the starring role in the next Batman movie is such a huge bounce-back, we might as well call him ‘Rubber-Man’

You know what? Let’s stick with Batman after all…

I mentioned a Batman movie up above, which may have caught the eye of a few of you. Because, you see, while all of the attention is currently on Batman v Superman and Justice League part one, we are due a stand alone Batman film after that.

So we’ve got our lead actor, but what about the rest of the cast and crew? Who is going to write it and who will our Bat-director be?

Empireonline and Deadline are reporting that Affleck himself will be directing the Dark Knight’s new solo outing. He will apparently also be sharing writing duties with Geoff Johns.

For those of you who don’t know, Geoff Johns is DC’s chief creative officer. He’s also the guy DC turn to when they need a franchise reinvigorating. Remember when Green Lantern became much more awesome by adding all different types of power rings? That was him. He’s also been involved with the Superman and Justice League series to name just a few recently.

This guy.

Quite when the solo Batman movie will hit the silver screen is unclear; there was no Batman movie listed on Warner’s big schedule announcement last October, but apparently a 2019 launch looks likely. This will also give Affleck time to direct another film; the Dennis Lehane adaptation Live By Night.

In any case, what do you guys think about a Batfleck directed Batman film? Let us know in the comments.
