Ben Affleck is looking a bit different these days. Just weeks after the actor was spotted rocking a new bad boy makeover, complete with faux hawk and motorcycle, he’s changed up his look again. This week, he caught the attention of fans by stepping out with a much darker look, especially where his facial hair was concerned. Could he be working on a new movie, or is he simply looking for a glow up amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez?
According to The Daily Mail, Ben Affleck was photographed in Santa Monica on Thursday. The Argo director spent time with his child, Fin, as they enjoyed a sunny stroll. With no Jennifer Lopez in sight, Affleck showed off his newly dyed beard. The dark hair replaced his usual salt and pepper gray look.

Affleck wore black slacks and matching dress shoes. He added a light blue button up shirt. He left his collar open for a more casual look, and rolled up his sleeves to show off his silver watch. Meanwhile, Fin rocked a pair of shorts, black t-shirt, and sneakers as they played with a skateboard.
Many fans couldn’t help but comment on Ben’s new look, which some believed may have been the result of his split from JLo.
“I totally respect men, and women, who take care of themselves even if it means coloring their hair; BUT, why do men go so so dark that it looks phony from a mile away?” one person commented.
“At least there’s not a 25 year old on Ben’s arm (for now),” another wrote.
“Oh Ben, don’t color your beard, it looks weird. An aged man with a salt and pepper beard is so much better,” another fan shared.
“So dark that it looks fake and like it could rub off. But if it makes him happy, that’s great. It’s sort of the male equivalent of the ‘revenge body,’ that females acquire after a breakup. Maybe it helps in weathering the storms of life. Or for a new movie role. Or something,” a fourth comment read.
Ben Affleck hasn’t publicly commented on his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. However, it will certainly be interesting to see how it all plays out, and if the actor is changing up his looks to return to the dating scene in the future.
