Ben Affleck and JLo‘s divorce drama continues to heat up. However, the Gone Girl star is comfortable knowing he can depend on his ex, Jennifer Garner. She is always there for him through thick and thin. However, some fans think he is too comfortable and believe he is taking advantage of Jen’s kindness.
Sources close to Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck tell InTouch that Ben is leaning on his ex-wife more than ever. “Ben leans on her for everything. He’s got his own place, but he’s still at her house all the time for family dinners, and she never fails to send him home with a care package of food.”
“She’s very concerned about his health, to the point where she reminds him when he needs to see the doctor and the dentist and even sends him vitamins to take because she’s convinced he doesn’t get enough healthy food when she’s not cooking for him.”
The insider claims that while most other men might find Jennifer’s doting annoying and intrusive, Ben appears a little “too comfy” and loves it. He turns to her for everything. This is not a new development for Ben Affleck. He often turned to Jennifer Garner, even during his marriage to JLo. So, as you can imagine, it caused many issues between the singer and her husband leading up to their divorce.
“Even when he was married to JLo he’d got to Jen for her advice, which as you can imagine did not do his marriage any favors,” the insider claims. “But now he’s single again and free to talk to her 10 times a day if he wants, and there are days he does.”
Jennifer Garner Allows Ben Affleck To Lead A Double Life
Ben Affleck seemingly has it made since his split from JLo. He is now a free man, meaning he can come and go as he pleases and date who he wants. He no longer has to answer to anyone else. But, some fans believe Ben’s behavior is shady.
“Why is Jennifer Garner so concerned about Ben? She cares for him like a wife, with nothing in return. Ben has the best of both worlds and will milk it as long as possible. She needs to send him on his way. She is not responsible for him,” shares one fan. “He is a man-child. As long as she takes care of him, he will continue to invade her life,” adds one more.
Jennifer Garner is the mother of three children, which she shares with Ben Affleck. So it makes sense that she wants to ensure Ben remains healthy and a vital part of their lives, even if she has to insert herself into his business to see to it.
Recent reports have questioned the co-dependent relationship that the former couple continues to engage in. The two recently shared the Thanksgiving holiday together, volunteering their time to help feed the homeless.
Later that evening, Ben was spotted walking from his home to Jennifer’s for a cozy Thanksgiving dinner celebration with their kids. Everyone involved, except JLo and Garner’s boyfriend, John Miller, seems happy with the arrangement.
Most Jennifer Garner fans can’t imagine that Jen and John’s relationship will last much longer. They feel it must drive John crazy to see Jennifer pay so much attention to another man, especially her ex.
As far as JLo goes, those close to her reveal that she hates her ex having Jen to rely on. However, there is nothing left she can say or do about it. But, for Ben, Jen, and their kids, it’s a win-win situation, at least for now.
