The burst-firing rifles in Call of Duty games have always been the double-edged swords. You either land all 3 shots and get a kill in a flash, or you miss a single shot and the opponent laser beams you with their fully automatic SMG/AR. The same applies to the AEK-973 in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, even if you utilize the Rapid Fire mod for the best loadout with this gun.
Best AEK-973 Loadout in Black Ops 6

Two attachments make magical changes to the marksman rifles in Black Ops 6: Rapid Fire, and CHF Barrel. Increasing the headshot damage and the fire rate of a DMR or a burst-shooting rifle is a game-changer that you’d have to grind 42 levels for! Yes, the AEK-973’s Rapid Fire unlocks at that level; not cool.
Increasing the fire rate by 9% and adding the extra damage to the head makes this AEK-973 loadout one of the best one-tap killers in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer if you manage to hit all your shots on the opponent’s body. As for the other attachments, they’re completely mobility-based to increase your sprint to fire and ADS speed.

Warzone stats are different, and that means if you’re planning to hit the BR or Resurgence with AEK-973, then you should consider dumping both the CHF Barrel and the Rapid Fire. CHF does almost nothing here by adding a non-existent neck damage multiplier, and the Rapid Fire ruins everything with the recoil, damage, range, and literally anything positive about this gun. Look:
That’s why we stick with the Long Barrel this time to increase the effective damage range up to 54 meters. The Recoil Springs is here to reduce gunkick, and since it’s Warzone and we’re spending more than one burst to take down a target, an Extended Mag I is considered.
Overall the AEK-973 is best for Black Ops 6 loadouts and not Warzone because of its damage. While you can one-tap easily in the Multiplayer, the Warzone version of this gun doesn’t kick. You’ll need to hit 2.5 burst shots to knock an opponent, which is pretty weak compared to the current Krig C, XM4, and AMES 85 meta.
