You can turn the XM4 into an LMG by slapping a 100-round magazine under it, or, you can just pick the XMG. As the name suggests, the XMG is an LMG version of the XM4, and it’s currently a high-tier weapon for building some of the best loadouts within Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
Best XMG Black Ops 6 Loadout
- Muzzle: Suppressor

Black Ops 6 Multiplayer is absolute chaos even when you play a slow-paced mode like Search and Destroy. This means that a heavy LMG with the least mobility isn’t the best option here. So, we’re going to balance things out by increasing the sprint to fire and ADS speed of the XMG with the Fast Mag II and Commando Grip. You’ll have 50 rounds in each mag with this one, but you should note that only 4 shots would do to kill an enemy in BO6 with this gun, so, you’re good.
Now we could go for a light stock to increase mobility, but a Buffer Wight Stock for killing the recoil is probably the better option. You’re not going to rush towards the enemy’s base with this gun, right? Attach a suppressor to stay under the enemy’s radar, and remember to test an optic with this XMG loadout in Black Ops 6, it’s best to have one.
Best XMG Warzone Loadout

Warzone is where the LMGs thrive, and the XMG is an unfair weapon to use in this game. The damage is solid, and since it’s Warzone, we’re not worried about the mobility at all! You’ll rush “those dirtbags” with your pocket SMG anyway. So for laser beaming the targets with the best XMG loadout in Warzone, we’re going full throttle on accuracy.
We’re talking Buffer Weight Stock and Vertical Foregrip on the same scene. This is a recoil killer pattern that eliminates the need for Recoil Springs. Attach a Willis 3x optic, and add that Long Barrel to increase the effective damage range to 65m. Now you’re in the game with an XM4 that’s a bit heavier but stronger.
On both XMG loadouts above, you’re dealing with a slight vertical recoil only. The horizontal part is almost non-existent thanks to the underbarrel and stock we’ve used, so it’s fair to say that this gun is likely the easiest to handle in the game next to the XM4 assault rifle.
