What really is a shooter game without an AK-47? Calling it Kastov or AK-74 doesn’t matter, the weapon is always the best if not the meta in Call of Duty games, and it’s definitely here to claim the prize in BO6. But unlike some of the previous titles, the latest Black Ops entry introduces the AK-74 with the most resemblance to its real-life counterpart in terms of power and visuals. Now if you’re looking for the best AK-74 loadout build in Black Ops 6, you’re going to need some extra attachments to further increase the handling and accuracy.
Best AK-74 BO6 Loadout
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Optic: Accu-Spot Reflex
- Magazine: Fast Mag I
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Rear Grip: CQB Grip
After testing the AK-74 with different attachments in Black Ops 6, I’ve come to the conclusion that this gun needs more mobility and horizontal recoil reduction. The gunkick is totally manageable, and the punching power of each bullet on mid and long-range feels so satisfying with this weapon. However, every time you shoot more than 5 rounds, the aim tends to lean heavily to the right.
Dealing with the recoil first, the Vertical Foregrip is still one worthy friend that you should probably try on almost every Black Ops 6 weapon. Horizontal recoil management is the proficiency of this attachment, changing the recoil pattern to something like this:
With Omnimovement, you’re constantly running and diving in any direction. But every time you slide/dive, a small delay will be applied to your weapon before it’s ready to shoot. That’s why we need the CQB Grip on our AK-74 for the best loadout build in Black Ops 6 so that it can ready up faster and catch up with the Omnimovement mechanics.
The Suppressor is here to conceal your position on the enemy tac-map whenever you shoot. The optic of your preference is there for precision aiming. And lastly, the Fast Mag I is probably the best option to choose among the magazine items. It doesn’t negatively affect the stats while giving you a much faster reload speed.
I’ve tried using the Rapid Fire mod on the AK-74, and even if you combine it with the Vertical Foregrip and Recoil Springs, the shots will go too inaccurate. The ultra mobility build with the AK-74, however, is a better loadout to take if you want to turn the AK into an SMG/AR hybrid.
AK-74 Mobility Build
- Barrel: Short Barrel
- Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
- Stock: Light Stock
- Magazine: Fast Mag I
- Muzzle: Suppressor
For some reason, the iron sight on the AK-74 Short Barrel gives you a nice ring to drive your shots with. With that, we can let go of the Optic attachment and grab a Light Stock from the gunsmith to build the best AK-74 mobility loadout in Black Ops 6.
Adding more movement and strafing speed with the two mentioned attachments, we finalize the work with the Ergonomic Grip. This rear grip gives you the same buffs as the CQB that we used on the previous build, except for the ADS speed which is now converted into positive sprint-to-fire stats.
