It’s time to get out your wallets, gamers, because Black Friday is here, and as usual, we have listed the best gaming deals you can get during this long-awaited weekend. Instead of focusing on consoles, platforms, or accessories, we’ll list some of the best games we’ve played this year that you can get in different places at a great price. Whether you want some action-adventure, some racing fun with others, or a good old fighting title to beat your friends, we’ve found a game that caters to every player out there.
FINAL FANTASY TACTICS – The Ivalice Chronicles

Let’s begin with one of the most anticipated remakes, and one that lived up to everyone’s expectations. Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles brings the beloved Final Fantasy tale that moves away from the traditional RPG elements to a more tactical and strategic approach. Besides the vastly different gameplay, Final Fantasy Tactics also features one of the greatest narratives of the whole franchise, so it is worth keeping an eye out for. Since the game launched earlier this year, you might not see it as part of any Black Friday deals, but it is worth adding to one’s wishlist, especially as we head into the holiday season.
SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered

Another game revival that many of us loved this year, and one that is featured on the Square Enix Black Friday Sale, is SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered. We all know the SaGa series is huge, and we’ve seen the remasters and remakes of some of these games lately, yet one of the most recent ones is this one, which stands at a Very Positive review on Steam at the time of writing. If you want a classic RPG with several QoL features and improved UI, you should definitely add this one to your library as soon as you can.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Many of us were expecting to see Ichiban’s next adventure this year, but the truth is, we got something just as great. The legendary Goro Majima gave us his own pirate escapades and did so in a fantastic way. Naval combat, karaoke, an enthralling story, and the gritty yet hilarious tone you can expect from the Like a Dragon series. While this one isn’t on sale right now, you should still keep an eye out for it, as SEGA has a lot of sales throughout the year. Even if it isn’t on sale, it is one voyage worth paying full price for.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Many might argue this, but we all know that the king of racing games this year is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. It is extremely accessible in terms of difficulty and its controls, but it also adds several layers of challenge by featuring rival racers, a lot of things to collect in a stage, and several courses to master. On top of that, there are a lot of customization features that encourage players to keep racing just to unlock a new car part or character. Since Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launched recently, it isn’t on the current Black Friday deals, but you should add it to your wishlist before the Winter sales begin.
Roadcraft

SnowRunner fans were eagerly waiting for RoadCraft, and it didn’t disappoint. This building simulator that puts you behind some of the largest vehicles to restore roads, towns, and fix several natural disasters will keep you occupied for hours. The game has also received several updates, with more maps on the way that will certainly add more fun challenges for players to tackle.

Tempest Rising

What many initially called a homage to Command & Conquer ended up being one of the best RTS games of the year, and it is even nominated for The Game Awards. With now three playable factions, it is the best time to jump into Tempest Rising. Aside from its in-depth campaign that teaches you the ropes of this game’s intricate systems, the multiplayer mode is as chaotic as it is addictive. While it isn’t on sale at the moment, we recommend adding it to your wishlist or getting it at full price because it is definitely worth playing.
Dying Light: The Beast

Kyle Crane is back with his iconic parkour moves, slick fighting style, and his inner beast ready to tear zombies in half. Dying Light: The Beast is the ultimate zombie survival game of the year, and one that feels like the pinnacle of the franchise. Beyond that, it is one of the few games that had a flawless optimization at launch, which is something we rarely see nowadays. If you haven’t played it, now’s the perfect time to jump into Castor Woods.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Everyone wanted an Assassin’s Creed series set in Japan since the Ezio days, and we finally got it. Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes a duo-protagonist approach with Naoe, the nimble and deadly assassin, and Yasuke, the mighty warrior. Shadows fixes many of the things the series’ formula had, offering a less cluttered world and several rewarding quests and enemies to fight. While it isn’t part of any Black Friday deals right now, you can try it through the Ubisoft+ service.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is one of the first fighting games we got this year, and one that you should add to your library as soon as possible. This entry added rollback netcode and cross-play support, meaning that you can take the fight to anyone regardless of where they play. On top of that, there’s a fun single-player mode for those who don’t want to fight real players yet. Despite not being featured in any Black Friday sale right now, it is still worth getting, as it is one of the best fighting titles of the year, and one that’s also nominated for The Game Awards.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Last but not least, we have the one big game that kicked off 2025: Dynasty Warriors: Origins. This entry to the legendary Musuo series is one of the best we’ve seen in recent years, and one that enhances every aspect of the franchise. It features several weapons to master, a branching story, and captivating characters that make the whole journey feel even more memorable. Furthermore, it is now the perfect time to join the fight, as the DLC has recently been announced.
