Even if Id takes a while to become playable in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, he steals the show with a particular build that embraces his draconic power. If you didn’t know, out of all the characters in the game, he has an engaging gameplay mechanic that turns him into a dragon ready to wreak havoc. Since that is appealing to many gamers, it is important to equip the right skills and items for him to make him the killing machine he is intended to be.
How To Build Id in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
Usually, we try to recommend several builds for Granblue Fantasy: Relink characters, but after some experimentation, we realized Id works better with a Hybrid one. If you didn’t know, this swordsman focuses on filling up his gauge to then unleash his Dragonform and powers. While he already packs a punch, we found a build that lets him dish a lot of damage while also keeping his party members and himself alive.
DPS/Support Hybrid Build
Id doesn’t have a lot of skills like Gran or Djeeta, or even Narmaya. Still, the few he has bring a lot to the table in terms of damage and protection. Since many might be using him due to being the new kid in the Granblue Fantasy roster, it is important to know how to make the best out of him.
Weapon: Susanoo
Once you reach the game’s hardest missions in the Quest Counter, you’ll see new weapons getting unlocked for players to use. The one we recommend forging for Id is Susanoo. This blade provides an attack increase, which is great for a DPS-oriented character. Also, you can customize it further if you have certain Wrightstones. If possible, try to give him more stun power or crit damage.
Skills and Sigils
While you could run Id as a DPS or Support character in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, we found a middle ground with this build. Before we delve into rotations and tips, here are the skills he should have:
- Ragnarok Form
- Atonement
- Unbound
- Scourge
When starting a fight, you’ll be spamming Unbound and Scourge. These two skills will let you fill the Versalis gauge while you also weave some normal combos in between. We decided to add Atonement in case your party doesn’t have a tank. It is a great way to keep everyone safe and make Id act as a tank for a while. If you prefer some self-healing, switch Scourge for Never Enough. When you fill your Versalis gauge, switch fast to Dragonform and keep landing combos until you enter Godmight state, that’s when you’ll activate Ragnarok Form to get a full Versalis gauge, letting you enter Dragonform again. To increase Id’s combat capabilities, here are the Sigils we recommend:
- Attack Power
- Critical Hit Rate
- Critical Damage
- Stun Power
- Drain
- Skilled Assault
These Sigils will increase Id’s overall damage output while also providing leeching effects and even some increased skill power. The latter is important because Dragonform has a lot of powerful skills, and it is crucial to improve them when fighting.
Overall, Id is a fantastic character to have, and it can raze the battlefield in seconds. However, it is important you learn how to manage your gauge to keep your damage up at all times. Once you get the hang of this, nothing will stop you.
