Those favoring the assassin-like playstyle in Sword of Convallaria will find a haven under Col’s amazing skills and build. She is the best Seeker in the game so far due to her versatility when fighting and the actual large damage output she can make. While she can be a bit squishy if you don’t position her in the right spot or without good support, she can hold her own for a while in most stages. So, if you have her on your roster and want to place her on the battlefield, we have a quick DPS build guide for her.
Best Skills
Since we’ll be focusing on a DPS build for Col in Sword of Convallaria, we’ll grab the skills that increase the damage-dealing part, as well as a few abilities that help with survivability. Remember that even if you pick a different skill, you can still respec to try a different build. However, it’ll be costly.
Skill | Description |
---|---|
Ambush (Rank 1) | When performing an active attack, if the target is Unharmed (full HP), deals 20% Physical DMG. When performing a back attack on Unharmed targets, additionally blocks passive skills on them for one turn. |
Mask (Rank 3) | Col dispels 2 debuffs, recovers 25% HP, and she gains Invisibility and CRIT V for one turn. |
Eerie Footwork (Rank 5) | When Healthy (full HP), after receiving a single-target attack, teleports behind the character and strikes back for 70% DMG. Also, gains Dodge for one turn. When Injured, triggers Dodge with a 3-turn cooldown. |
Perfect Assassin (Rank 7) | For all “Alacrity” allies in battle, it increases ATK by 10%, DEF by 20%, Crit by 15%, and Crit DMG by 15%. |
Critical Strike (Rank 9) | Deals 50% physical DMG two times and increases CRIT by 15% before attacking. |
Wipe Out (Rank 11) | Col deals 60% DMG three times. Before attacking, when there are no allies within a two-tile radius or the enemy, Col gains Ignore Assist. When defeating a target, she gains Dodge, lasting for 1 turn. |
The best thing about this build for Col in Sword of Convallaria is its focus on high single-target damage and survivability for those who want it. While it is important to pair Col with people from her faction to make the most out of her rank 7 skill, you can place her on any team composition, and she’ll perform exceptionally well. To make this build work, ensure Col always delivers the first hit for more damage. Since she can become invisible and has high mobility, she can hit enemies and dash around to avoid being hit. In the case she does, she can trigger Dodge to avoid attacks.
Weapon & Gear
Before we end this, we must equip Col with the right weapon and gear. We’ll focus on increasing her CRIT capabilities with a good weapon and other gear. While there are many equipment options for her, you’ll need a pair of specific Legendary daggers to make this build work.
Weapon/Gear | Description |
---|---|
Void Stab | Increases CRIT by 3%. After using the weapon’s skill, gain one stack of “Void.” The effect increases CRIT DMG by 5% and can stack up to six times. |
Maverick’s Cloak | When there are no allies within four tiles of the wearer, ATK and DEF increase by 4% and CRIT increases by 10%. |
Temptation of the Devil | For each character defeated in battle, the wearer gains one stack of “Devil.” The Devil effect increases ATK and DF by 3%, up to 30%. |
These are our preferred items for various reasons. The weapon increases CRIT DMG the more you use its skill. The cloak is perfect for whenever Col is alone looking to strike solitary enemies. The tarot whisper increases Col’s damage the more enemies she kills, which is great for an assassin-like character.
Ultimately, you can choose a different build for Col in Sword of Convallaria. However, if you make a wrong choice, it’ll cost you dearly. Instead, we recommend focusing on these skills and gear. They are great at keeping Col alive while also considerably increasing her damage.
