While we had some deals during Black Friday, the truth is that some games weren’t discounted at the time. Now, there are so many in the store at an excellent price that you should get if you have the money and time to play. Since there are so many of them, we’ve narrowed down the list to our five picks that every PS5 gamer should have.
Helldivers 2 – 20% Off
Let’s start with one of the most played co-op titles on PS5: Helldivers 2. If, for whatever reason, you still don’t own this co-op gem, you should get it right now. Helldivers 2 isn’t your typical cooperative game with seasonal updates or FOMO tactics. It is a never-ending galactic battle where players dictate its outcome. You get major orders every week that send you to fight any of the three factions. Plus, all Warbonds are permanent, and you can even farm the premium currency while playing, meaning that you only pay once, and with some luck, you can earn all the Warbonds for free.
Elden Ring Nightreign – 20% Off
Some of us are still trying to figure out what type of genre Elden Ring Nightreign brought, but the truth is that it is an amalgam of everything, and extremely engaging at that. Nightreign keeps that challenging soulsborne combat, but combines roguelike elements with some battle royale-esque systems for some pure PvE chaotic fun. The great thing about it is that it just got its DLC, adding two new characters and more bosses to the game to expand your playtime. If you didn’t play at launch, now is the perfect time to jump into the night.
Split Fiction – 25% Off
Going back to another co-op title, and one that launched this year to critical acclaim, we have Split Fiction. This isn’t just another hit game from those who brought us It Takes Two; it is a love letter to gaming. Besides having an unforgettable story, it has some of the best gameplay segments in recent memory and stunning visuals that go from neon-lit sci-fi worlds to mind-bending fantasy lands. On top of that, you only need one copy of this game, as the Friend’s Pass is free, and it even has cross-platform. It is one of the best deals you’ll find during the PlayStation Holiday Sale.
Death Stranding 2 – 29% Off
Kojima’s latest and most ambitious entry had to be here. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach fixed many things that its predecessor failed to do. The gameplay is miles better with a stronger focus on stealth, and the plot, while very Kojima-coded, is much easier to understand. Furthermore, the visuals are among some of the best in this console generation, showing the true power of the PS5.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – 20% Off
Last but certainly not least, we have the GOTY winner of many awards shows: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If there is one must-play game this year, this is it. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of the most engaging and memorable RPGs of recent memory, and one that feels like the evolution of the turn-based genre. While it is on other platforms, playing it on PS5 is the best way to experience this Game of the Year.
The PlayStation Holiday Sale will run until January 21, 2026, meaning that you have plenty of time to check the deals and buy all the games you want at once, or space them out so you don’t burn through your holiday money so quickly. Regardless of what you do, this is one of the best sales of the year on the PS Store, and one you shouldn’t miss.
