The Bas-B is not just a fan-favorite, but it’s been proven to be a dev-favorite as well. The gun has received three nerfs since the first season of the game, and it still packs a heavy punch. And to make things more interesting, there’s a new conversion kit called the JAK Outlaw-277 available for Bas-B loadouts in Warzone and MW3, turning the battle rifle into lever-action.
How To Unlock JAK Outlaw-277 Kit
- Complete five Week 7 Challenges in MW3 Multiplayer, MWZ, or Warzone.
To achieve the JAK Outlaw-277 Kit, you need to complete five of the 21 challenges that are available on Week 7. There are 7 challenges available for the Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone respectively, making 21 in total. You can either complete all five in one game or just mix them up.

- Muzzle: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor
- Ammunition: High Grain Rounds
- Barrel: Bruen Venom Long Barrel
- Optic: Corio Eagleseye
Equip the JAK Outlaw-277 Kit and you’ve got yourself a new version of the Longbow sniper rifle, with 20 shots in the chamber and a slightly faster bolt-action. The JAK Outlaw-277 Bas-B conversion kit is best used in MW3 Multiplayer mode for the guaranteed two-shot kills. For Warzone, however, you need 3-4 shots to take down a target, depending on its range.
So, the best we can do with this rifle is to add more bullet velocity. That said, load the rifle with the High Grain Rounds to add damage range to it; we want to focus on those 3-shot kills, yeah? Next, mask your shots while adding more bullet velocity to the JAK Outlaw-277 Kit loadout with the VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor. The Bruen Venom Long Barrel is also a good companion to help increase the same stats.
We have the maximum damage range rate here with the JAK Outaw-277 conversion kit Warzone loadout. What we lack, though, is a good optic for precision sight. This is variable for most players. Some prefer the 8x zoom optics, and others — like yours truly — do better with a 2.5x Corio Eagleseye. Really, it’s your call.
Keep in mind that the JAK Outlaw-277 Bas-B conversion kit is not a good option for rush plays in Warzone. Landing three shots to take down a full-plate target requires outplaying the opponent three times! So, the best you can do with this rifle is hitting ranged shots, or dealing quick damage to the nearby targets just to finish them off with your trustworthy SMG.
