Life Staff is a great weapon that will turn you into a powerful healer in both PvP and PvE battles. Before you go into combat, check out our guide on the best Life Staff build in New World to understand how to thoroughly prepare and master this weapon. It might take you a lot of time, but don’t worry because we’ve done everything for you and covered the most important things.
Best Staffs and Accompanying Weapons
The first thing to start with is, of course, the weapon you will use. It is worth paying attention to both the staff and the secondary weapons you will use in all other cases. Well, let’s start with the Life Staff by saying that up to level 60, almost any weapon of this type will do good. The main thing you should focus on is making sure that it provides Focus. Here are a few options that will be useful to you, both at the beginning and in the further playthrough:
- Blessed Wildwood Life Staff
- Soaked Life Staff
- Dryad’s Life Staff
- Graverobber’s Life Staff
- Nightveil Life Staff of the Sage
Now that we’ve done with the Staff, let’s take a look at the secondary weapons, and among the available options, we consider the following to be the best:
- The Ice Gauntlet: A great choice for Life Staff. You can freeze enemies, giving your team an advantage in mobility and speed.
- Hatchet: Perfect for players with an aggressive fighting style. You can combine your healing skills with powerful berserker attacks to crush your enemies.
- The Sword and Shield: The most basic choice, but no less effective. With a sword and shield, you’ll become more tanky, which will help you come up with new and interesting strategies to deceive and kill enemies on your way.
So, once you’ve made your choice, the next step in creating a powerful build is to choose attributes.
Attributes for Life Staff Build
Mostly, you need to concentrate on Focus, as well as a little bit on the Constitution. Both of these attributes will be useful because Constitution will increase your maximum health, and Focus is needed to increase the amount of mana and its regeneration. In general, at level 60, your stats should be as follows:
- Focus – 400
- Constitution – 200
If you wish, you can partially change the stats according to your playstyle, but you should not deviate too much from these numbers.
Life Staff Build Skill Tree
In New World, for Life Staff, there are 2 main skill trees: Healer and Protector. You need to look at them carefully and choose the best skills that will help you in battle. To create a well-balanced build, we recommend upgrading the following:
Healer | Absolved |
Anointed | |
Blissful Touch | |
Desperate Speed | |
Divine Blessing | |
Holy Ground | |
Intensify | |
Revitalize | |
Sacred Ground | |
Shared Recovery | |
Protector | Bend Light |
Inspire | |
Light’s Embrace | |
Protector’s Strength | |
Protector’s Touch | |
Spirits United |
It may take some time to master and strengthen your skills, but you definitely will notice the result. Among them all, we would like to highlight the following skills that you will definitely need:
- Sacred Ground and Holy Ground: These two skills are closely related. When you use Sacred Ground, you create a field where your allies regenerate 20% weapon damage every second. This skill lasts for 15 seconds, but if you use Holy Ground, you cast bonus effects that allow to regenerate Stamina and Mana 100% faster. This way, you can quickly and easily fully restore yourself and allies.
- Light’s Embrace: The perfect choice if you need instant healing. Using this skill, you will restore 80% of weapon damage in 0.5 seconds and an additional 15% for each Life Staff buff.
After carefully reviewing and studying all active and passive skills, you will understand how to act on the battlefield and how effective this build is.
Best Artifacts and Armor
To be a good healer on the battlefield and not be the first to die, we recommend using the following armor pieces:
- Tumbler Shoes: If you successfully dodge an attack, you get 25% fortify and 15% empower for 5s, and you heal for 200 + 2% of your maximum HP.
- Nimble Leather Coat: The maximum Cooldown is reduced by 10%.
- Featherweight Jacket: The armor is weightless.
As for the artifacts, to be honest, there is no suitable option for Life Staff in the game, but Lifetaker would be a great alternative. Using this artifact, your heavy and light attacks apply Rend (disintegrate) to targets.
