The Psyker is one of the most versatile classes in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader. Unlike the other archetypes in the game, you choose the Psyker as an origin. Starting Your Psyker Build in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader
When starting your Psyker build in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, it’s important to select the correct Origin. Other archetypes aren’t affected too much by the Origin you choose other than getting a bonus. But a Psyker must have the Sanctioned Psyker Origin selected or you lock yourself out of the warp abilities.
You have five different Psyker types to choose from with their own set of abilities. They are:
- Biomancer
- Diviner
- Pyromancer
- Sanctic
- Telepath
The Biomancer is great for melee builds and melee support. A Diviner helps your team survive in battle similar to an Officer. Pyromancers set targets on fire and either enhance them or deal great damage. Sanctics are powerful against non-human enemies like xenos. A Telepath can lower enemy Willpower and leave them vulnerable.
Creating the best Psyker builds in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader begins with deciding which Psyker type you want. You then create your character and start developing their abilities. You do get the ability to delve into other Psyker paths, blending Biomancer with Sanctics as an example.
