The RAM family has introduced a new member to the Call of Duty HQ. After the introduction of the RAM-7 assault rifle in Season 1, now it’s time for its little SMG brother to shine. The new RAM-9 SMG is absolutely the meta of Warzone and MW3 Season 2 rivals the HRM-9 and other submachine guns with a 9 in their names. However, just like every other weapon in the game, you’d need the best loadout for RAM-9 to use it at its highest peak of power in Warzone and MW3.
How To Unlock RAM-9
You can unlock the RAM-9 for free by completing the MW3 and Warzone Season 2 Battle Pass Section B6. It requires 15 Battle Pass Tokens from the start, and you can unlock this weapon with or without purchasing the Battle Pass. RAM-9 has no certain challenge for unlocking.

- Barrel: Boreal-6C Suppressed Barrel/Bruen Pendulum (Muzzle)
- Stock: HVS 3.4 Pad
- Underbarrel: Chewk Angled Grip
- Ammunition: 9mm High Grain Rounds
- Magazine: 50-Round Mag

Shooting with RAM-9 feels like the Armaguerra 43 from Call of Duty: Vanguard. The fire rate on this SMG is on a whole new level, mixed with balanced damage stats. Yet the RAM’s accuracy isn’t something to brag about.
To keep your operator’s hands steady using the RAM-9, add the HVS 3.4 Pad attachment. Stock is always the attachment to look for if you’re trying to keep the gunkick of your weapon in check. Next, have the Chewk Angled Grip for the horizontal recoil. The Chewk isn’t as strong as the Bruen Heavy underbarrel. However, it doesn’t eat the mobility stats we need for an SMG.
The next attachment is the Boreal-6C barrel, which doubles as a light barrel and a suppressor. This barrel is only supposed to add some gunkick a bit, but it seems like it reduces the damage range as well. No worries, though, as we have the 9mm High Grain Rounds to cover up the shortcoming.
Last but not least, if you’re a Warzone player, slap a 50-Round Mag under your RAM-9 for the best loadout. But if you’re grinding in MW3 Multiplayer, the 40-Round Mag is just fine for taking down three targets in a row.
And as always, try to master the recoil of your weapon after you’re done with adding the ingredients to it. The image above shows the recoil pattern for this bestRAM-9 loadout in Warzone and MW3. As you can see, the recoil starts vertical and pivots to the right after you’ve shot the 20th bullet. But remember, if you want better recoil management on RAM-9, the Bruen Pendulum muzzle is one of the best options to pick over the Boreal-6C barrel, sacrificing the silenced shots for better accuracy.
