Scorpion combos in Mortal Kombat 1 are some of the best you can use against opponents. The gameplay of the Scorpion has changed very much since the last MK game, thus making it harder for the MK11 players to adapt to him in MK1. This might be because this is not the iconic Hanzo Hasashi becoming Scorpion, but Kuai Liang who has taken the role. In this new timeline, Sub-Zero’s brother is the “Get Over Here” master, and here in this guide, we’ll dive into details to learn his basic and advanced combos in Mortal Kombat 1.

Advanced Scorpion Combos
First, you need to know that Scorpion’s moves require hours of practice. Mortal Kombat 1 has reintroduced some of the MK11 characters, but they’re all different in both story and gameplay. That said, the most important thing to know about Scorpion in Mortal Kombat 1 is that his teleport attacks are not as useful as they were in MK11. Instead, there are other sets of moves that you can master to annihilate your opponents with the Kuai Liang version of Scorpion.
Blazing Kicks: 4 – 4 – 4 * Back – Forward – 2
This is simply one of the best Scorpion combos in Mortal Kombat 1. First, you need to perform a Krackjaw kick combo. Then, add the Blazing Charge to deal an acceptable amount of damage to your opponent. You could also amplify your Blazing Charge to pack a heavy punch.
Deadly Spear: 1 – 2 * Back – Forward – 1 * 4 – 4 * Down – Back – 2 + RT/R2
Scorpion’s kunai spear is always his best weapon; no matter if he’s Hanzo Hasashi or Kuai Liang. That said, you can use this special move to restart your combos with Scorpion. For example, perform a Whiplash first, and then grab your opponent with a spear. This will give you the opportunity to do an incomplete Krackjaw, and then continue that by an amplified Twisted Kyo.
The Blaze: Forward – 4 – 2 * Forward – 4 – 2 * 3 * Back – Forward – 2
This combo is a little tricky to do, but once you master it, you’ll learn how to drain your opponent’s health bar in no time. First, you need to perform a Heavy Knee. This is Scorpion’s bread and butter and the best combo starter in Mortal Kombat 1. After that, dash forward a little, and do the same move again. Next, dash forward again, and do a neutral 3-kick attack. Do an amplified version of Blazing Charge in the end to complete your combo.
Spear to Snag: Forward – 1 – 2 * Forward – 1 – 2 * (Aerial) 1 – 2 * Down – Back – 2 + RT/R2 * 1 – 1 – 1
Now that you’ve learned some ground attacks, it’s time to master the best Scorpion aerial combos in Mortal Kombat 1. There are many aerial attacks available with this character, but they all start with throwing your opponent to the air and performing a Kyo Snag. For that, perform a heavy knee, and then jump into the air as quickly as possible to continue attacks. You need to be quick for the rest of this advanced combo, or you’ll miss the opportunity.
Aerial Hell: 1 – 2 * Back – Forward – 1 * Forward – 4 – 2 * Forward – 4 – 2 * (Aerial) 1 – 2 * Down – Back – 2 + RT/R2 * 1 – 1 – 1
This is one of the best Scorpion combos in Mortal Kombat 1 that’ll drain more than 40 percent of your opponent’s health bar if performed correctly. The base of this advanced combo seems very much like the previous one. However, you need to start this one with a Whiplash and spear. Then, you need to do two forward 4 and 2 attacks to be followed up by aerial moves.
