Mournstead is a land overrun with demons, and the Rhogar aren’t the only ones who want the Lampbearer dead. Surrounded by enemies in a hostile land, you’ll need a special build if you want to survive this challenging Soulslike. The Attribute system in Lords of the Fallen gives players considerable leeway when it comes to creating unique characters. Combining holy magic with cold steel, Strength Radiance builds are hybrid characters who overcome their weaknesses through a combination of clever strategy and powerful abilities. The result is both powerful and fun. Here’s the best Strength Radiance build in Lords of the Fallen.
Lords of the Fallen Strength Radiance Build Playstyle
The Paladin isn’t the only build to combine martial prowess with Holy magic in Lords of the Fallen. This generalist Strength Radiance build has some key differences, moving away from the Paladin’s defensive sword and board style. This build favors a hard-hitting and aggressive playstyle using a powerful two-handed weapon. Though your martial skills can carry you far, you’ll want to incorporate your magic into combat for maximum effectiveness. Even if you choose a Catalyst with limited spell slots, having two or three powerful Holy spells can make all the difference, especially in PvP.
LotF Strength Radiance Build Starting Class and Attributes
Of the default options, the best starting class for a Strength Radiance build in Lords of the Fallen is Orian Preacher. This talented spellcaster starts the game with an impressive 18 Radiance. Having just 10 Strength means you’ll need to level up a bit before your Physical attacks start pulling their weight, but your spells will be more than enough to get you through until then. Just be mindful that this is marked as an Advanced class for a reason: if you’re new to the game, you’re up for a challenge early on. Prioritize Strength, Radiance, Vitality, and Endurance. Agility and Inferno are dump stats you can ignore.

Weapon and Armor
- Requirements: 20 Strength and 32 Radiance
- Type: Grand Sword
- Weight: 35.1
- Scaling: STR E and RAD C
The recommended weapon for this build is Bloody Glory. It’s a Grand Sword, so it has a lot in common with some of the best Strength weapons in the game. It requires a huge amount of Strength and Radiance to use properly, but the results are worth it. High Physical and Holy damage plus a ridiculous amount of Bleed buildup make this a weapon to fear. As for armor, we recommend the Ruiner Helm, Judge Cleric’s Armor, Sovereign Protector Gauntlets, and Fitzroy’s Leggings. They’re weighty, but the extra protection is worth it.
Catalyst and Spells
A Strength Radiance build isn’t much without its magic, but to use your Holy power you’ll need a good Catalyst. Wilmarc’s Catalyst and the Abbess Chalice are both excellent choices. Wilmarc’s Catalyst can be obtained with a little effort by helping the petrified woman in the Fen. Using Radiance means you’ll have access to some of the best spells in the game. Top picks should include Sanctify, Consecrate, Aura of Tenacity, and Blessed Reflections.
Pendant and Rings
Pendant and ring selection is always tricky is Lords of the Fallen, but for the best Strength Radiance build a few options stand out. The Pendant of Induration offers a simple boost to Physical Defense which is universally useful. As for rings, the Brawn Ring offers a similarly basic yet effective buff to Strength. The Ring of Nourishment replenishes health when you kill an enemy, which makes it great both for pushing through difficult areas and farming Vigor in Umbra. If nothing else catches your eye, consider the Moth Ring for bonus Vigor.
