Lies of P is a Souls-Like, which means it has no shortage of enemies that will make even experienced players want to tear their hair out and throw some controllers across the room. In a game like this, one of the most important things to ensuring survival and making it to one of the endings is a good weapon. Thankfully, Lies of P has weapons in spades, and its unique weapon assembly system allows for so much creativity and customization. This tier list will be rating the basic weapons, not boss weapons, in their base form as well as the potential of the weapon’s parts for good combos.
S Tier
The S-Tier is filled with some of the most-hyped weapons thus far out of Lies of P. Most who have been playing or observing the game will certainly have noticed how many are favoring the Big Pipe Wrench as the go-to blunt weapon. The Booster Glaive Blade’s ability to launch the player short distances to easily close gaps and do massive damage is also one of the best weapon abilities in the game. Any of these weapons can have either their blades or hilts combined with other weapons to great effect.
- Carcass Crystal Axe
- Big Pipe Wrench
- Booster Glaive
- Pistol Rock Drill
- Black Steel Cutter
A Tier
The A-Tier is full of weapons close to the level of strength players can achieve with S-Tier weapons but may have some flaws in their default forms. For example, the Electric Coil Stick’s blade has the potential to be one of the best weapons in the game when combined thoughtfully with other hilts that complement its power. Its default form is fine, but it isn’t the ideal weapon to pull the most potential out of its parts. The same goes for the blades in weapons like the Fire Axe or Circular Electric Chainsaw.
- Fire Axe
- Electric Coil Stick
- Bramble Curved Sword
- Dancer’s Curved Sword
- Cursed Knight’s Halberd
- Circular Electric Chainsaw
- Coil Mjolnir
B Tier
The B-Tier is mostly weapons that players likely won’t want to use in their default forms, but will almost certainly want for weapon assembly. There are some pretty niche weapons on here that will likely only be sought by specific builds, like the Exploding Pickaxe or Blind Man’s Double-Sided Spear. These definitely aren’t weapons that should be ignored, though.
- Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger
- Blind Man’s Double-Sided Spear
- Salamander Dagger
- Bone-Cutting Saw
- Exploding Pickaxe
- Live Puppet’s Axe
- Clock Sword
- Spear of Honor
C Tier
The C-Tier is mostly weapons that are highly situational. These weapons are by no means useless, but might only find proper homes when utilized by players with builds that complement some of their more interesting features, or just when utilized by players who like to build extremely strange weapons and then see what they can do. The Military Shovel may not be the best pick for fighting the Nameless Puppet, but some power can always be found in the right build. The Krat Police Baton is one of the earliest weapons players can obtain in Lies of P and it can be a powerhouse against early bosses like the Scrapped Watchman, so definitely don’t ignore it.
- Krat Police Baton
- Acidic Crystal Spear
- Acidic Great Curved Sword
- Military Shovel
- City Longspear
- Master Chef’s Knife
D Tier
This tier has essentially been relegated to hosting the default weapons players can choose between at the beginning of Lies of P. To the credit of the game, these really aren’t bad weapons, even after delving deeper into the game. There have been plenty of examples of good players using combinations that feature the Puppet Saber or the Greatsword of Fate on even some of the later Lies of P bosses and being very successful. It illustrates that in a game with so many weapon customization options like Lies of P, a well-thought-out build and proper upgrades go a long way.
- Puppet Saber
- Greatsword of Fate
- Wintry Rapier
Ultimately, utility can be found in virtually every weapon present in Lies of P. It may seem on the surface like the number of weapons available to players in the game is fairly slim compared to its Souls-Like counterparts, but when taking into account the number of combinations possible between every weapon, there’s really no shortage of options available.
