Beyoncé fans can breathe a little better now that they know the singer is not going on tour. The BeyHive erupted with excitement yesterday, November 27, after Hits Daily Double reported she was going on tour. For some fans, this announcement made perfect sense. After all, the 32x Grammy winner is headlining the NFL’s Christmas Day halftime show. According to a press release, this will be the “first” live performance of songs from her “genre-bending” chart-topping album, Cowboy Carter.
But that’s not all. Beyoncé, who usually doesn’t promote her work, has been very vocal about her NFL show. Not only did she share it on her Instagram, but she also posted it on her YouTube and Twitter and updated her social media page bios. That tends only to happen when a big announcement follows. Additionally, if she’s following the model of RENAISSANCE, a summer tour seems to be in the works. However, her manager shut those rumors down swiftly.
No Beyoncé Tour … For Now
It wasn’t just Hits Daily Double’s report that got fans excited about a potential Beyoncé tour. United Airlines also posted an interesting ad of footage from Bey’s RENAISSANCE World Tour to promote their flights. “Cause when she goes on tour, you need to go to.”
“Can’t be random,” a fan replied to the video. “They are literally telling us,” another commented. “She’s about to announce it or cancel it completely cuz she ain’t about to get clocked.” But before the rumor mill could get too out of control, Beyoncé’s team shut the noise down. On X, Yvette Noel-Schure, who’s worked with Bey for decades, said the claims were “untrue.”
She continued, saying, “Whenever there is any news, you will hear it directly from the source first.”
This isn’t the first time Yvette has clapped back online. A look at her X/Twitter timeline shows that most of her posts are of her correcting “categorically false” statements made by other accounts.
Fans React to the News of No Tour
After Yvette shut down the rumors of a potential Beyoncé tour, fans flooded her comments with pushback.
“Gurl, stop it, please,” someone wrote.
“We were getting our hopes high over here; no need to wash away our expectations before Christmas,” a second fan quipped.
A third replied, saying Yvette only speaks to the public to “hurt” their feelings with bad news.
Another told her to “retire” before calling her “annoying.”
“You finally working?” another asked, seemingly throwing shade after the number of baseless claims thrown Bey’s way in light of the Diddy scandal.
Although there is no Beyoncé tour (for now), fans can still get a taste of the Texas-born singer on Christmas Day.
During the Texans’ match against the Baltimore Ravens, Bey will take center stage during the halftime show. It’s unclear what exact songs she’ll be performing; however, watchers can expect a number of hits from her Cowboy Carter project.
The singer could have something else up her sleeve, and she likely does; however, it’s safe not to assume with Bey. Just sit back and get ready for a whole lot of “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
