Beyonce is under fire after the singer found herself the target of Megyn Kelly. This is not the first time the political commentator has set her sights on the Texas Hold’Em hitmaker. However, this time it is not her music that is being blasted.
Beyonce has found herself on the receiving end of a nasty Meghyn Lelly tongue lashing over her recent Levi’s ad campaign. Kelly has called out the singer’s ad, calling it everything from “fake” to “artificial.” According to Kelly, the image Beyonce presents in the new promo is the opposite of what she calls “natural.” She even compares the ad to Sydney Sweeney’s recent American Eagle ad, which Kelly appears to favor.

Kelly is not holding back on her attack on Beyonce. She calls out Beyonce, accusing her of crafting a completely curated public persona from her fame to her fashion, per Radar Online. Which she also states, in her opinion, is all “bought and paid for.”
Beyonce has grown accustomed to Kelly’s glaring insults and, most recently, clapped back at Megyn during her Cowboy Carter tour. Beyonce used a clip of Kelly’s criticism in her visuals, which garnered another hit from Kelly, accusing the singer of “playing the victim” by using the footage in her performance. It is very catty back and forth between the two women that don’t appear to be nearing an end anytime soon.
Beyoncé Accused of Being “Unnatural” in Levi’s Ad
While Megyn Kelly has no issue tearing down Beyonce she had quite a different reaction to Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle ad. The campaign features Sweeney in full denim with the cheeky tagline “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”
Sweeney’s ad has even captured the attention and praise of President Donald Trump, who praised Sweeney’s ad as the “HOTTEST” campaign out there and even suggested that her “jeans are flying off the shelves.”

Some have even suggested that Beyonce appears to be a dying flame and is quickly losing her appeal and influence over her fans. During Kelly’s initial takedown of Beyonce on X, she wrote: “This is the opposite of the Sydney Sweeney ad. Quite clearly, there is nothing natural about Beyonce. Everything from her image to her fame to her success to her look below is bought and paid for. Screams artificial, fake, enhanced, trying too hard.“
Beyonce and Sydney Sweeney are both selling jeans, but the cultural response couldn’t be more divided. Beyoncé is facing backlash for being too polished, too curated, and too calculated. Sweeney’s campaign is simultaneously praised for its boldness and ripped apart for tone-deaf implications.
Whether it’s country music crossovers or “perfect genetics” puns, this denim drama proves that in today’s world, even a pair of jeans can ignite a firestorm.
