Beyoncé excited her fans on November 5th, 2024, when she released a faux music video to a song from her country album Cowboy Carter. In the spirit of Halloween, Queen Bey shared photos of her latest costume to her Instagram. In the set of images, the singer revealed she dressed as iconic actress Pamela Anderson. Beyoncé replicated spicy shots of Pamela’s previous works, including Barb Wire and Baywatch. She sported a blonde wig with loose, wavy curls and posed on a motorcycle. Additionally, the 32x Grammy winner wore a red bathing suit and posed for pictures on a beach with a rescue tube.
But that’s not all. In addition to the photos, Beyoncé also released a fun music video, still dressed as Pamela, for her song “BODYGUARD.” She posted it on her YouTube channel as well, and so far, the video has amassed over 350,000 views in under 24 hours. The two-minute production features the legendary singer in front of a backdrop, showing off her curvy body in a fitting black dress with purple eyeshadow. Another look also showed her in that bright red “BEYWATCH” swimsuit.
Beyoncé’s Faux Music Video Excites Her Fans
Beyoncé’s BEYWATCH music video isn’t the first time the singer has dressed up for Halloween. In fact, the performer takes the holiday so seriously that she always finds a way to top her act the year before. In years past, Bey has dressed, alongside her family, as characters from The Proud Family and other notable stars like Tina Turner.
Before sharing her latest costume, she got a rise out of fans with another costume, in which she dressed as Betty Davis—a funk/rock singer from the ’70s. Days later, she posted more photos as the singer Prince, wearing purple thigh-high boots and holding an all-purple electric guitar.
After posting her fun looks for the year, fans quickly hopped on social media to share their thoughts. Several BeyHive members felt the singer was hinting toward ACT III of her anticipated trilogy, which features RENAISSANCE and COWBOY CARTER. “Dressed as ACT III soft launch, I know that’s right,” one user commented on Instagram. “Oh, you clowning this year! I see what ACT III is,” another wrote.
As soon as fans thought the Destiny’s Child singer was done for the season, she surprised them with her latest drop, causing even more excitement. “Not you dropping a Halloween visual for BODYGUARD,” someone commented. “Not COWBOY CARTER GETTING VISUALS BEFORE RENAISSANCE,” a second user added.
Pamela Anderson also commented on Bey’s costume, saying she was in “LOVE.” She also shared the posts on her Instagram Story, posting a red heart emoji followed by the caption, “Don’t call me Bey.”
Will Beyoncé Release Real Visuals for Her Three-Act Project?
Despite Beyoncé’s lighthearted BEYWATCH music video, it is not the official visual product for her chart-topping country album. Many of her fans have grown frustrated with the lack of visuals for her last two albums, considering RENAISSANCE was released in the summer of 2022. Following the album’s release, the singer went on tour, created a concert film, and released ACT II.
It’s unclear when (or if) Beyoncé will release visuals for either album. When she made her comeback in 2022, she told fans she wanted everyone to take their time and “enjoy the music.” So, that could mean a batch of music videos will arrive at the end of the trilogy. Or, knowing Beyoncé, they could’ve been scrapped entirely.
Either way, the faux music video she released has been enough to get fans excited about seeing the singer in front of the camera again. “See how fun a music video could be? Now release them all,” someone posted online. “Bey, drop the visual album, please. I can’t with this woman,” another wrote.
