Comedian and political commentator Bill Maher is always making headline news. While the TV host is famous for his outspoken political beliefs, his personal life sometimes overshadows his work. In the past, he’s reportedly been linked to models Coco Johnsen and Karrine Steffans, and actress Thora Birch. His habit of dating younger women has earned criticism, but now he’s firing back against the haters.
During a recent interview with The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, Maher’s personal life became a topic of conversation.
The 68 year-old admitted to hosts Michael and Lauryn Bosstick that most of his relationships have been with younger women.
Nothing that I could have predicted when I was your age came to pass. Like I would never have imagined that at this age, anyone – and again, like I’ll say this just generally – my dating is not age-appropriate.
While May-December romances are not uncommon in Hollywood, they still draw criticism. Maher had a blunt response to anyone who criticizes his dating life.
The people who are pissed off at that, f*** you. You do you, I do me. You do what works for you.
Bill Maher is Rumored to be Dating Al Pacino’s Ex-Girlfriend
Maher’s interview comes amid reports that he’s dating Noor Alfallah, the ex-girlfriend of Al Pacino. The 30 year-old movie producer’s relationship with the 84 year-old actor gained notoriety in June 2023 when she gave birth to their son Roman. Earlier this month, a representative for Pacino confirmed he and Alfallah were no longer together.
Following news of their break up, Alfallah has been spotted out with Maher, sparking rumors that they’re a couple. However, Alfallah squashed the romance rumors to TMZ. “Bill’s my friend, just my friend,” she says. “He’s great, though, but we’re just friends.”
Maher even alluded to not being romantically involved with anyone during his podcast interview. “I’m not looking. I’m good,” he proclaims.
As for whether he’s ever thought of settling down, the confirmed bachelor says marriage isn’t for him.
It certainly was in my head for way too long, that you [have to] find the one, like it’s an Easter egg hunt and you find the egg, and then everything’s perfect. That’s certainly not the way I’ve ever seen life work, and didn’t work for me.
Although marriage isn’t for him, he’s not judgemental of others who want to take that path. “It’s not that I don’t believe in marriage or acknowledge that some people do have good marriages,” he said. “I know people who would be lost without this.”
Much like his political views, Bill Maher’s thoughts on dating and marriage is sure to ruffle some feathers.
