A trailer for Barbarian has been released by 20th Century Studios and New Regency, showing Bill Skarsgård and horror meet once again. The actor will executive produce the film with Arnon Milchan. Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Danny Chan, and Alex Lebovici. Raphael Margules, J.D. Lifshitz, and Roy Lee will produce. Lee also produced both It movies, which starred Skarsgård as the terrifying Pennywise. The film will come to scare audiences out of their seats in theaters on August 31 in North America.
Georgina Campbell (Krypton) plays a traveling young woman, Tess, who gets a rental home in the middle of her trip for a job interview. However, an unexpected overbooking means she stays with a man named Keith, played by the It actor. She decides to stay, but things get worse beyond staying in a house with a stranger. It appears that an experiment is going on, but the big question is if Keith is a victim or perpetrator. Justin Long (F Is for Family) will also star, and it appears from the footage that he may be a victim based on his frightful expression.
Bill Skarsgård returns to horror with the Barbarian trailer
Horror established Bill Skarsgård when he played Pennywise in the two It movies between 2017 and 2019. The first remains one of the highest-grossing rated R movies of all time, putting it right below films like Deadpool 2 and Joker. Other notable films the actor starred in include Atomic Blonde, The Devil All the Time, and Eternals. He also had a small role in Deadpool 2.
The future looks busy for the actor. He will star next to Adrien Brody in Emperor for its August 16 release. Then, you can see him in the drama Burn All My Letters in September. Further ahead, he will be in the stacked cast of John Wick: Chapter 4, another action movie with Boy Kills World, Gilded Rage, and the remake of The Crow.
