While much has been said about his relationships with daughters Noah and Miley Cyrus, it seems that his bond with son Trace Cyrus has also been severely damaged. Recently, Trace has spoken out about his stepfather, who adopted him after marrying Trace’s mother, Trish. Previously, Trace claimed that his father needed help to get sober. Now, he’s calling Billy Ray out for a much different reason.
This week, Trace Cyrus took to his Instagram account to make some shocking comments about his father. The singer told his followers that Billy Ray Cyrus was “pathetic” and called him out for choosing to attend a fashion show instead of making an appearance at a funeral for a family member.
“This man is so hungry for fame it’s pathetic,” Trace wrote alongside a photo of Billy Ray. “He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn’t come to LA for Mammie’s funeral while he was still married to my mom.”
Trace Cyrus Calls Out Dad Billy Ray Cyrus For Being Fame Hungry
Trace went on to reveal that his sister, likely Miley Cyrus, got their father a private jet, but he still didn’t show up.
“Even after his daughter got him a $60k private jet like he demanded, [he] “still didn’t come. You’re the lamest man ever to walk planet earth. Honestly embarrassed to have ever considered you my idol,” he continued. “The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed up, delusional, evil person when I’m old like you.”
According to Page Six, one fan claimed that it seemed like Trace desperately wanted attention from Billy Ray. However, he responded to his story, claiming that he’s surpassed his father as a man. Instead, the only thing left to learn from Billy Ray is not to repeat his mistakes.
