An inhospitable galaxy

Not all that is green equals safe as proven by EXODUS‘ latest Green Worlds cinematic trailer. In a Mass Effect-less world, Archetype Entertainment has stepped forward with this upcoming space odyssey. EXODUS will task players with scouring the cosmos for alien technology to save humanity. However, it is easier said than done. Previously, we learned this game wants to make use of time dilation mechanics. But the latest cinematic shows that a Traveler’s worst enemy might be their next destination.

Deep within Centauri's expanse lies a mystery, and leverage against the powerful Celestials.

In a short yet beautiful cinematic trailer, EXODUS tells us how the Colonel leads everyone to the promised Green Worlds. Places made for human life that will serve as the next bastion of humanity. Or so we thought. Since we want you to watch the whole trailer, we won’t spoil it, but one thing’s for sure: not everything that’s lush is safe. Still, what excites me about this masterfully crafted cinematic is how these expeditions will appear in the game. We already know there’s a vast galaxy to explore that is full of difficult choices. Will finding a home will be one of them? It seems like. But I can’t help my imagination run wild thinking about how environmental hazards could come into play when we venture into the confines of Centauri.

For the unaware, EXODUS is a AAA Sci-fi RPG in development by Archetype Entertainment. This studio features veterans from Naughty Dog, 343, BioWare, Electronic Arts, and many more. If you’re interested in the next big space adventure, anyone can become a founder for this journey through the official website. Frankly, it’s been a while since we’ve had a proper larger-than-life space odyssey, and my gut tells me EXODUS can deliver that and more. Hopefully, this is one of the many cinematics we’ll get to pave the way for the grand adventure many of us can’t wait to embark on.
