The black community expressed outrage after some white servers at Texas Roadhouse were accused of allegedly admitting to spitting in black customers’ food.
A Texas woman shared a video discussing the alleged behavior by the restaurant’s servers. She claimed that some Texas Roadhouse employees had shared in a group that they were allegedly sabotaging black customers’ food. She also alleged that the employees said they licked their fingers before putting them in black customers’ food.
“This is horrible. This is biological warfare. This is terrorism,” the woman said while reacting to the allegations. She then claimed that black people take a “big risk” when eating food they did not prepare themselves.
Another woman also shared a video discussing the serious allegations. She began by reading from the alleged post that sparked the accusations. According to her, the post was reportedly shared in a Facebook group called “White and Proud.”
The post allegedly said:
“To all you blacks in here keep this in mind. Hope you enjoy your meal next time you eat out. There is a Facebook group that I am part of and ir is for white servers. We have come up with a plan. When a table of black diners comes in and places their order we walk back to the kitchen to get your food when ready. There is ALWAYS a blind spot in the kitchen and we are licking our fingers and touching your food. If it happens to be a Texas Roadhouse or Logan’s, those rolls are full of our white saliva. Some of the cooks are in on this too. Think they are playing. They aren’t. Believe me, this has been going on since y’all started this nonsense with Karamello the candy bar Anthony crap. Btw, the group has over 400k members. Enjoy y’all’s food.”
“Every single day, y’all continue to prove us right,” the woman said after reading the alleged post. She added that, in her view, people were finding new ways to be racist every day. “If y’all hate black people as much as y’all claim you do, why can’t you just leave us the [expletive] alone?” she asked.
A third black woman also shared a video repeating the same allegations about the group. She described the servers who were allegedly involved as “racist white people” and said she would no longer eat at Texas Roadhouse. Other black viewers also shared videos criticizing the alleged claims and expressing their outrage over the accusations.
Texas Roadhouse’s Alleged Response to Claims
The Neighborhood Talk later shared a post on Instagram showing a screenshot of the alleged post. The post also included screenshots of a statement reportedly released by Texas Roadhouse in response to the allegations.
“We are aware of the video that is being shared with an accusation that has been made toward our restaurants. We believe it to be completely unfounded, and we take every accusation toward our brand seriously. We are investigating this alleged abhorrent behavior and remained committed to treating every guest with respect, dignity, and the Legendary Service they deserve,” the restaurant allegedly said.
The post also included another statement reportedly released by Texas Roadhouse, which said, “At Texas Roadhouse, we are committed to creating an environment where every guest is treated with respect and unreasonable hospitality. We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or mistreatment of any kind, and we expect our Roadies to treat every guest with dignity and care. Our commitment to the communities in which we serve remains unchanged: provide Legendary Food, Legendary Service to every guest who walks through our door.”
Despite the serious claims being widely shared online alongside screenshots of the alleged post and statements, the allegations remain unverified. There has been no independent confirmation that the alleged Facebook group exists, that the post was written by actual Texas Roadhouse employees, or that any customers’ food was intentionally contaminated.
Viewers Outraged Over Allegations Regarding Texas Roadhouse
The allegations sparked reactions online. Many viewers expressed outrage after seeing the allegations made about Texas Roadhouse servers. Some appeared to believe the claims were true, which contributed to significant backlash online. “Girl they are evil and no one can convince me otherwise,” one person wrote. Another commenter asked, “Genuinely what the [expletive] is their obsession with yall????”
More people expressed their outrage over the allegations, with some commenters discussing their perceptions of the restaurant and its employees. “And they are calling themselves Christian’s,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “Jokes on them. I already assumed they were doing this and stopped supporting their business.” Someone else alleged, “having just quit Texas Roadhouse as the only Black woman server on a rather full team of mostly whites… I can attest to this.”
