When you go to a movie theater, you are supposed to have fun while you are there. This didn’t happen when a Black Florida woman, who unfortunately, had to deal with a White Karen couple. While at the movie theater with her kids, there was a White woman who kept shouting from the moment the movie began. She didn’t care about whether others around her could watch the film or not. The mother couldn’t handle the noise anymore and went to speak with management. They then sent a staff member to ask Karen to lower her voice. Well, she definitely didn’t like that, and she started calling the mother names. Of course, the experience was ruined for the Black family by then, which made the mother decide to ask for a refund.
The Karen’s terrible behavior didn’t end. When the Florida woman went to ask for her refund, the White woman took it upon herself to go to the mother’s kids. She started flashing a light in their faces and telling them to go to hell. What kind of an adult would do that? Just like the mother said, if she were in the theater when this happened, things would have ended terribly. No parent would stand and watch someone harassing their kids. On the other hand, while waiting for her refund, the White Karen couple was being escorted out of the theater, and that’s when they escalated things.
The lady started yelling, “Do not film me.” She then hit her husband on his shoulder repeatedly, and he went up to the Black mother with an umbrella he had up in the air. He seemed ready to strike her, but a staff member stood between them. That kind of threat made the mother say things such as, “If you hit me with that umbrella, I’mma wear your ass out,” and “He gonna meet his maker.” The annoying thing here is that, along with kicking out the Karen couple, the theater also kicked out the Black mother and her kids. What did she do wrong here? This made her say that the theater is terrible. She also pointed out that if things were the other way around, they would have led her out of the theater in handcuffs. The only good thing here is that no physical damage happened.
People Reacting to the Black Florida Woman Getting Kicked Out
Everyone found that what happened to the Florida woman was terrible. The Karens shouldn’t have yelled at her or tried to attack her. The theater, too, shouldn’t have kicked her out. Since the couple was basically boomers, one person wrote, “I am so exhausted. I’m ready for that generation to go bye-bye.” Another person joked and said, “Boomers claim they’re the ‘toughest generation’ btw.” Someone else didn’t even watch the storytime posted by the mother and was sure that the White couple started it. “I can already tell by the way the woman is screaming that they started it and are now playing victim,” they wrote. Well, they got that right. Some also pointed out that a few people in the background were eating popcorn and watching things unfold. “The ppl watching and eating their popcorn,” one person wrote with laughing emojis.
It turns out that the Florida White couple is used to causing problems, one person said, “LMFAOOOO no way we saw these same people causing a scene n getting kicked out of Icon park a few months ago.” Another person then replied by commenting, “these people are banned from the theater i work at lmfao no wayyy.” A third TikTok user also had a similar experience. “I am so sorry they did this to you and everyone there. I have had a horrible experience with that couple at ICON park. Security had to escort them away from me. Seeing them in your video was a bit triggering because of how they yelled at me, similar to you, and IN FRONT of children‼” This is definitely not surprising. I can see them getting banned from a lot of places if they always behave like this.
