Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is heavily praised for its well-balanced Zombies mode, featuring some of the best maps in recent years. Now after Treyarch officially announced that the town Liberty Falls has given residence to the most players in Black Ops 6 Zombies, fans are comparing it to a Black Ops 1 classic map that used to be our daily doze of undead slaying joy.
Before the release of Black Ops 6, many prominent CoD Zombies content creators were worried about one of the two launch maps coming with the game. That map, Liberty Falls, was considered a Multiplayer rip-off with no originality and the so-called ” aura.”
Now I’m not here defending the map on full fronts saying it’s absolutely what Zombies should be. But, it’s a casual map, and it should be reviewed as just that. So, while I’d rather play Terminus Island and Citadelle des Morts for more Zombies vibes, the camo grinders and everyday players prefer Liberty Falls as their new Kino Der Toten.
Yap, you heard that right, fans are playing Liberty Falls these days just like Kino from the old days of Black Ops 1. In a Reddit post you see above, fans are praising Liberty Falls Black Ops 6 Zombies map with the reason being “the ease of getting into the map and killing zombies.” Some even suggest a night or darker version of it, which would be a perfect addition of Treyarch oversees and get the job done.
Which Map Is Better? Kino Der Toten Vs. Liberty Falls
This is probably a no-brainer for the OG Zombies fans, but it wouldn’t kill if we do a quick review on which one of these two is golden. Well, it’s Kino Der Toten. Simply because the tone is darker, you don’t have the loadout system, so every bullet counts, and the mystery box actually means something; it has a portal that you can take whenever you’re surrounded by the undead, and well, Thundergun.
Why Is Liberty Falls A Good Zombies Map?
OK, now that we have the super quick comparison out of the way, it’s time to focus on why the Black Ops 6 Liberty Falls is the most played Zombies map in all recent Call of Duty entries. Here are a few reasons:
- Easy Map
- Open Areas
- You can do the main quest easily every time you play
- No annoying Amalgams, Doppleghasts, and Parasites
- Plenty of Side Easter Eggs
For the most part, casual players play Zombies to kill zombies. No following directions, turning on powers, or doing extra leg work to get the Pack-A-Punch machine going. These are what makes Zombies mode special, though. Don’t get me wrong, but if you’ve come home just to rip off a few zombies’ heads and feel good about it, chances are that you jump into Liberty Falls than Citadelle des Morts.
The map design is straightforward, and most importantly, you’re not dealing with flying creatures that shoot you yellow junk or a double-headed zombie that wins the gold medal in the 100-meter dash. Liberty Falls is not perfect, but it’s a town where you can play bowling and dance with the Zombies!
