Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is one of the stingiest of games when it comes to the headshot damage multipliers. It takes 4 to 6 shots to the head to take down a target in this game which isn’t pleasing for the sharpshooters, and to make the matter worse, you need to get 100 headshot kills with every single weapon in the game to unlock only base camos! Not cool.
Shooter games tend to give players a good chunk of damage buff if they’re accurate enough to hit the enemy in the head. This only makes sense because the head is a critical part of the human body. In Black Ops 6, however, soldiers’ heads are covered with invisible armor it seems. Take a look:
This is the stats for one of my AS Val builds, and as you can see it doesn’t really matter if I shoot the target in the head or toe. Now some might come and say that the CHF Barrel is what makes the headshot damage multiplier work in this game, but in reality, it only boosts the damage from 26 to 28; I mean, yay!
This is a change we’re not used to seeing in Call of Duty games before, but Black Ops 6 somehow manages to make headshot damages mean almost nothing. It only becomes worse when you try grinding camos and see that every single weapon needs 100 headshot damage to unlock the base camos.
Treyarch Studios has been actively working on making the Black Ops 6 experience better since its launch, adding changes that’d make fans happy. 2XP weekend, return of the fan-favorite game modes like Stakeout 24/7, and giving us back the Double XP tokens we had in previous CoD games? Awesome! But would you take a closer look at how enemies won’t die when I shoot 4 shots to their head, please?
