A fresh look at the brand new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gunsmith is reportedly showcasing an 8-attachment system coming to the game. This is like the previously seen Vanguard Gunsmith system during the Warzone 1 era, where players could use up to 10 attachments on their WWII weapons in Multiplayer and Warzone. However, in Black Ops 6, a certain item is needed to use 8 attachments on your primary weapon.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is breaking the MW2/MW3 carry-forward content trend by having its own set of operators, weapons, and items. That said, Black Ops 6 will have its own regulations in the create-a-class system, bringing back the Wild Cards to further expand the experience.
A recent post by Detonated has shared more info about the Black Ops 6 Gunsmith, which allows players to use up to 8 attachments on their weapons in exchange for a Wild Card. Wild Cards were first introduced in Black Ops III, and you could also increase the number of attachments you use on your weapons with this addition in that game. However, this lets us know whether this feature also comes to Warzone.
If yes, using Black Ops 6 weapons with 8 attachments might unbalance the game, making the MW2/MW3 weapons useless. But, if we use 8 attachments on MW2/MW3 guns too, that’d be so much fun to tune our previous firearms using the extra gear. This is while we already have super-rare weapons with 8 attachments in Warzone when you redeem a Platinum card in Rebirth Island.
Besides, the Black Ops 6 Gunsmith will only have a shared optics progress in the game. Just like we had it in previous Call of Duty games before MW2, every weapon has its own set of unique attachments, which you have to grind and level up to earn. One last note: The Firing Range will be back in Black Ops 6 for testing your weapons and watch their inspection animations at ease.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 26, 2024, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
