  • Raul Menendez Is Pantheon, or At Least A Part of It
  • Is Alex Mason Alive?

The premise of Black Ops 6‘s story is marked with a mole within the CIA, which we first thought was Russel Adler by following the clues in Warzone. However, we were proved wrong in the CoD Next gameplay trailer for Black Ops 6, revealing another code name like Perseus, this time, called Pantheon. But who is Pantheon? We’ve got the least clue about this group, mole, whatever it is, but there’s one single hint at Pantheon being Raul Menendez in Black Ops 6 as the main villain, revealed in the recent story recap trailer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is said to feature a new enemy rooted within the CIA ranks known as the Pantheon. This group is hunting down Adler, and its identity is yet to be revealed. However, Pantheon has one thing in common with the South American cartel boss Menendez, and that’s moles within the agency.

In fact, this is directly referenced in the trailer, telling us that Menendez has “moles” within the CIA, plural. In a narrative to make sense, how many external operative agents could infiltrate the CIA at once? With this in mind, if Pantheon is hunting the agency from the inside, then it must have shaken hands with Menendez, or maybe, Raul Menendez is the Pantheon itself, trying to disrupt CIA from further investigations on his actions.

In 1981, Raul Menendez had so much power within the CIA to make Jason Hudson give direct orders to Frank Woods to shoot down a target later revealed to be Mason. This amount of power to trick the highest ranks within the CIA is brutal, and one would certainly assume that Menendez, the classic Black Ops 2 villain has something to do with it in Black Ops 6 as well.

Speaking of Alex Mason, Treyarch has announced many times that the main protagonist of the Black Ops series is dead. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 gave fans many options throughout the campaign, allowing us to either kill or injure Mason during the Panama plot mission. However, the recent trailer shows the injured animation for Mason, which has raised eyebrows.

If you shoot Mason in the head, he dies, falling down without a struggle. If you shoot him in the leg, however, he bumbles and falls. The latter is what we’ve seen in the recent Black Ops 6 trailer, which might prove that Treyarch, the Truth, lies. Combine this with a bit of chance that Victor Reznov might have survived the escape mission and the possible return of Raul Menendez as the main villain of Black Ops 6, and we’ve got ourselves a ride to the heavens with this year’s Call of Duty.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25, 2024, for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
