Blake Shelton says he never plans Mother’s Day for his wife, Gwen Stefani, or does anything special for her. According to the singer, his stepsons always plan the special day, leaving him nothing to do. Shelton said the boys tell him they have it covered whenever he thinks of ways to spoil his wife. He and Stefani were lovers for 5 years before getting married on July 3, 2021. Shelton proposed to his wife in the presence of her family members, including her three sons.
Regarding Mother’s Day celebrations, there is no such thing as the perfect gift. Everyone wants to feel special that day, but Shelton never gets to treat his woman. He says his stepsons, Kingston, Apollo, and Zuma, hold the day down. “You know what? I don’t have to because her sons have been incredible.” He continued, “They’re like, no, no, no. We’ve already thought about it. We’re going to make breakfast for her.”
Additionally, Shelton noted to People that the boys know how to take good care of their mother. All he has to do is watch them grow into amazing, fine men. He also said that they always make everything exemplary for their mom on that day and spoil her beautifully. “I always can kind of just take a back seat and watch these boys. They do an incredible job spoiling her.” Shelton is lucky to have such incredible step-children who would do anything for their mother on her special day.
Shelton is a stepdad to Stefani’s boys, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. The oldest, Apollo, is 18 years old, Zuma is 16, and Apollo is 10 years old. Over the years, the God’s Country singer has built a beautiful relationship with his stepsons. A source mentioned to Us Weekly that Shelton loves his bonus children like a father would. The boys shuffle between their father’s house and the ranch, where they get to spend quality time with their stepfather.
“He loves taking them out to farm on the ranch with him, and they spend almost all of their free time together. It makes Gwen feel so much joy seeing how close they all are,” the source added.

Many celebrities prefer city life because it allows them to mingle with people; however, Shelton also loves the urban scene. The Nobody But You crooner owns a 1,400-acre ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. This is the same ranch where he and Stefani walked down the aisle and exchanged vows. The ranch also allows him to bond with his stepsons, as there is much to do consistently. Aside from the ranch, Shelton and Stefani own a California mansion and a Lake Texoma villa.
