This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information.

If you’ve played Overwatch, you know who Widowmaker is. If you haven’t… you still know who she is because I pretty much just told you what game she’s from. Widowmaker has the honor of being the third character immortalized as a collectible limited edition statue from Blizzard, following Tracer and Reaper. She’s crafted by the Overwatch team themselves (man, talented bunch of people, huh?), and each piece is hand-painted. This is a truly gorgeous work of craftsmanship, and pre-orders are already up for grabs at Blizzard’s online shop.

“One shot, one kill.” When Widowmaker was younger, she feared spiders. But after coldly assassinating her husband, she realized the truth: at the moment of the kill, spiders are never more alive. That’s the blurb from the item’s shop page. To each their own, I can’t stand spiders myself. And I’m willing to bet anyone who gets shot down be her probably feels very much the same. Okay, end of tangent.

There’s no mention what Widowmaker’s statue is made from, but in all likelihood, it’s the same stuff that gave us Tracer and Reaper – aka, some good quality material. Widowmaker measures 13.5″ from the floor to her head and stands on a 7.5″ circular base. The first wave is due to ship in the third quarter of this year and costs $150 per unit, with a limit of two per customer. Blizzard hasn’t said how many of these things they’re making, and $150 for this kind of thing is an absolute steal when you look at the $200 and $300+ memorabilia out there. If you’re a fan, there’s no reason not to pick this baby up now.

Man, I am loving that hair. Just saying. And you too can find something you love among The Nerd Stash‘s vast array of gaming news articles. Now, say something nice about Widowmaker in the comments or she’ll assassinate you.
