More details have emerged regarding The Old Hunters, the first major Bloodborne expansion.
In a Playstation developers blog on playstation.com, Japan Studio and Bloodborne producer Masaaki Yamagiwa has elaborated on what players can expect to find in The Old Hunters. The League, a brand new feature will focus on co-op play and NPC allies. “The League is a band of Hunters who have taken an oath and are bound by a single purpose. By aligning yourself to The League, led by a mysterious figure in a constableโs garb and bucket helmet, you can assist other players online in the game and compete in The Leagueโs online rankings leaderboard.” Masaaki explained in his post.
Masaaki went on to explain how co-op NPCs will work “In addition to The League, players will also be able to use The League cane and summon co-op NPCs within the game, perfect for tackling challenging areas and bosses.”
Players who participate in The League will gain access to a new weapon simply called the cane (as seen in the image above). Additionally, Masaaki revealed two screenshots, one of which revealing a brand new weapon, the Holy Moonlight Sword.
Further in his post, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa announced all players who have unlocked the Bloodborne Platinum Trophy or are close to doing so will receive a voucher for a PS4 exclusive theme.
Bloodborne: The Old Hunters launches November 24, 2015, and requires the full game to play. Players who pre-order the expansion before November 24th will get an exclusive PS4 theme.
