Bold Chicago Student Suspended After Showing Up to School Wearing Cheetah Print Makeup: ‘Suspension Just for Makeup Crazy’

At least her makeup skills are good

I’ve seen plenty of strange reasons for high school students to get suspended, but this one definitely tops the list. A bold Chicago student went viral on TikTok after revealing she was suspended all because of her makeup. Sounds ridiculous, right?

But this wasn’t just any makeup. Instead of a normal look, she had gone all out with cheetah print makeup across her face. Talk about standing out. In her TikTok video, she filmed herself walking out of the school, explaining what happened while people in the background could be seen making sure she actually left the building. It’s hard not to laugh at the absurdity of it all, both her confidence and the school’s overreaction.

The Chicago student continued venting about how unfair it was to be suspended just because of her makeup. According to her, the school claimed she wasn’t “recognizable.” Her response? “Even though I look good,” she said as if looking good should have been enough to excuse her.

To be fair, her attitude probably didn’t help her case. She went on to complain that another student had a “whole [expletive] face” the week before and didn’t get in trouble. Apparently, staff members didn’t notice that student, so they avoided suspension.

The video wrapped up with even more frustration and a few choice words: “Boy, who the [expletive]. Wasting my [expletive] time coming in this [expletive] building.” Honestly, after this, the school might have to consider adding “no cheetah print makeup” to its dress code just to avoid this happening again.

People Reacting to the Chicago Student Getting Suspended

Since most of the comments came from young people, many supported the Chicago student. Some believed that the school overreacted in suspending her just because of makeup. “that crazy suspension just for makeup crazy,” one person wrote. Another person agreed and said, “Detention Alr but suspension is lwk crazy.” Others joked about how the school told her she was unrecognizable. “So if yu not recognizable how they know who they suspending rn,” someone said. Honestly, I have to agree that this is a valid point. I don’t think the student cares that much though, especially since people complimented her looks. “It’s okay baddie.. your makeup jus sooo good they thought you were an actual leopard,” one person wrote. Another person also said, “They mad they can’t look this good.”

Not everyone sided with the Chicago student. Plenty of commenters thought the school made the right call. “I mean, it’s high school. There’s a dress code. You already have a strapless top on and a ratchet attitude. Y’all need to learn to follow the rules. Face paint, unless it’s stripes for cheerleading, is typically not allowed in any school,” one woman wrote.

That comment sparked debate, with others rushing to defend the student. “One, I’m positive she didn’t have an attitude before they came at her with that ‘dress code rule,’” another person replied. “Two, the whole point is that the rule itself is ridiculous. The face paint isn’t disrupting anyone except teachers who are bothered for no reason.”

It’s fair that not everyone agrees, but one thing most people can admit is that her cursing probably didn’t help her case.
