This is Brayden, our six-year-old, and he was so excited when the BrickSwag box arrived in the mail.  He has been a Lego fan since he was about four years old.  He was even more excited when he learned he was going to get to help do the review video with his dad and build these items.  So, make sure to check out the video on our YouTube channel.

Let’s talk a little about The Brick Builders Club and their BrickSwag box.  The Brick Builders Club offers a monthly subscription box that includes LEGO-themed products for kids. Subscribers will receive a box each month with items such as t-shirts, stickers, exclusive mini-figures, trading cards, and their monthly magazine, BUILD, which provides activities and instructions from their Master Builders, among other various and random items.  You can subscribe to Brick Swag for as low as $20.00 per month, depending on the plan you choose.

Now, to show you what was inside this edition of the BrickSwag box…

First, we found some trading cards.  These displayed different mini-figures, their names, and a description.  The origin of these characters is not clear, however, the idea behind LEGO or brick-style trading cards was something I could see catching the interest of young people.

The next item in this box was a poster with a very nice image on it, with the caption, “To adventure is to find yourself whole.”  I can see an avid LEGO or Brick collector wanting to put this on their wall.

Now, let’s get to building…..the first set in the box was a small mini-figure of a Pirate pig. In case you might be wondering, all of these come unassembled so you can have fun putting them together.

The LEGO set, slightly larger than the pig, was this picture frame, “I love New York.” This frame has a LEGO Dragon as a base and is big enough to put a standard size photo (4X6) in it.  This frame was a really clever idea, especially if you happen to have a family vacation picture taken in New York.

You also get a really cool magazine in each box which shows fan pictures of subscribers with their BrickSwag boxes.  It also gives the building instructions for the sets that are included in each box.

Brayden had fun working with his daddy to put these together and is looking forward to the next BrickSwag box.  Remember, you can subscribe to this box for as low as $20.00 per month!  Christmas is just around the corner and this would be a great present for your child or grandchild that gives all year long!

I am the wife of a real nerd who has developed some nerd-like tendencies along the way. I am a mom of two teenagers who is still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up! I spend my days working at the local community & technical college as a Director of Business & Industry training. At night and on weekends, I love spending time with family, binge-watching tv series, playing video games with the kids, graphic design, and, yes, reviewing products. I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Communication and contemplating a Doctorate…I consider myself a lifetime learner!
