For some people, marriage can easily become a prison of their own making, especially if they’re eyeing someone else apart from their significant other. Hence, for one bride, she played with that notion a little too gleefully and invited a prominent Illinois-born rapper, Chief Keef, to sweep her off her feet before she ties the knot with her groom. Apparently, Chief Keef has been stalking her consistently in the past.
Sydney Wingold is the bride in question, and she recently got married. But before the wedding ceremony, she posted where she can be seen saying, “Chief Keef, this is your last chance; otherwise, I’m gone forever. You have 10 minutes.” Surprisingly, Chief Keef responded on her Instagram account after stalking her for a long time, using a GIF image of a clumsy stalker.
Now, before you monogamy purists brandish your pitchforks and torches and go on a witch hunt, Wingold’s post is actually a running joke between her and Chief Keef. The Illinois rapper has been liking her posts and following her account for quite a long time now for some reason, so it’s more of a harmless or humorous callout on Wingold’s part.
Despite being a joke, a lot of people apparently deemed Wingold’s post as an open call for infidelity or promiscuous behavior, which many disliked online, earning some harsh criticisms from out-of-context reposts. Wingold even had to clarify that it’s a joke for anyone new to her account, “For those who are new here: Chief Keef follows me and randomly comments on my posts. It’s been a running internet joke for years. I’m obviously trolling 😂ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.”
People online simply despise infidelity, apparently
Thankfully, a lot of people online saw Wingold’s post for what it is, which is just her own brand of humor, as she’s an influencer. One commenter sighed in online relief after finding out the context, “I was about to say poor husband then saw it was a joke.” Another commenter, however, still saw Wingold’s joke as a red flag, “If my wife did this even jokingly I’m out. I’m not kidding.”
Sadly, there were some really hostile critics online, with their scathingly foul words for the influencer bride, “what a wh*re.” Some X users even had to defend Wingold because the infidelity-haters were too much, “It’s been a running joke for years now. Mfs be so insecure these days ðŸ˜.”
Meanwhile, Wingold’s wedding and marriage proceeded as planned, and it seems to have gone smoothly, based on her recent posts. It’s not clear whether Chief Keef continues to stalk the now-married influencer on Instagram or if the running joke is still ongoing between the two of them. But given the popularity of Wingold’s video, Chief Keef might strike again soon.
