As one of the longest-running science fiction series in network TV history with 9 seasons, garnering millions of fans throughout the world, X Files is probably one of the most highly anticipated upcoming television revivals. And ever since it was announced back in March that X-Files would be returning for a six episode run, fans have been speculating what the series might look like. Well, recently, fans were able to catch a glimpse of the series in a short 16 second trailer, and many are already sold on it.

The clip above, which aired on Fox during Wayward Pines, doesn’t give away much. Mulder (David Duchovny) looks around a corner, Scully (Gillian Anderson) has a gun, then, and then we hear the theme music fans know and love. Despite the trailer not revealing much, it does hype fans of for its return on January 24th, 2016, and shows us that it is indeed happening.
As far as who is participating in the show, we know that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are returning as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, and the Chris Carter series will also feature guest stars Annet Mahendru (Homeland) and Joel McHale (Community). Mitch Pileggi will also be returning as Walter Skinner with William B. Davis back as the Cigarette-Smoking Man.
