Britney Spears is in the news again for another Instagram exit. This time, it is seemingly all thanks to an incident relating to Britney Spears and her family. Recall that a few days ago, the singer and her father, Jamie, settled the dispute over the legal fees pertaining to the publicized conservatorship battle. According to reports, the settlement ended with Spears paying a huge undisclosed sum to her father. This didn’t sit right with the star as she took to social media to express her hurt, describing the whole process as injustice. Following her rant, Spears proceeded to deactivate her account without warning.
Britney Spears Makes Instagram Exit After Heartbreaking Post
Britney Spears isn’t in a great place emotionally, and fans can’t help but be worried. On Sunday, the 42-year-old took to her Instagram page to break her silence over the recent legal issue with her estranged father. She shared a photo of herself topless with a black lace thong alongside a lengthy emotion-laden caption. Spears began by revealing she suffered nerve damage in her back and had to get acupuncture every day. She then proceeded to criticize her family members due to the recent settling of the conservatorship.
“My family hurt me!! There has been no justice and probably never will be!!! The people who sat and did absolutely nothing when they did that for four months are smooth sailing,” Spears wrote.
Alluding to her parents, she explained that the two people who taught her the formative of right and wrong ended up hurting her the most.
“It’s funny ‘cus till this very day I haven’t told them face to face!!! I text through IG but I honestly believe it will not be so safe if I ever did go face to face so!!!” she continued.
Concluding, Spears admitted she missed her home in Louisiana and wished she could visit, but sadly, “they took everything.” Following the emotional post, Britney Spears made her Instagram exit.
Britney Spears and Jamie Finally Reach a Settlement
The post about Britney Spears and her family came two days after she and Jamie settled legal fee issues regarding the conservatorship. Recall that in November 2021, the court declared Spears free from the conservatorship that ruled her life for 13 years. However, Jamie began pursuing court approval for more than $2 million the following month. According to him, the money was for the fees he paid to multiple law firms throughout the legal battle and his current lawyer’s legal bill. Over two years after the filing, Spears and her father finally reached an agreement on April 25, 2024.
Reports confirmed that both parties settled for an undisclosed sum in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Amid the update, Spears’s lawyer believes his client is finally free, even though she is feeling hurt by her family. Hopefully, this marks a new beginning for the singer and possibly leads to a reconciliation with her family in the future.
