Brittany Cartwright has experienced a lot in the last year, but her only concern right now is her son, Cruz.
In an interview with Us Weekly, the Valley star said that she has been overwhelmed by her divorce. However, she’s concentrating on her son’s well-being. “I’m trying to just like, you know, focus on my son, and he is, like, the light of my life,” she said. “We’re having so much fun together. And it’s a lot, but I’m just smiling my way through it all.”
The reality star is in the middle of a nasty separation from her husband, Jax Taylor. In February 2024, she told her podcast listeners that she and Jax were “taking time apart.” In August, news broke that Brittany filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Brittany eventually praised Jax in a separate interview for being a “great father” to their son Cruz. However, she slammed him for being a “terrible husband.” So, what are Bravo fans saying about the news?
Bravo Fans React to Brittany and Jax’s Messy Split
Although Brittany and Jax are currently going through quite a messy split in the public eye, this isn’t the first time their relationship has been in trouble. The pair went through a cheating scandal during an earlier season of Vanderpump Rules. After moving forward, Taylor dumped her during a later season. They eventually reconciled, got engaged, had a baby, and began filming their spin-off, The Valley. Now that they’re in the process of separating (again), fans are reacting to the news in real-time.
“Correct me if I’m wrong,” one user began on Reddit, “but didn’t Jax talk about him and Brittany now being the longest-running couple?” They continued, “That lasted about five minutes.”
“Honestly, good for Brittany,” another user wrote. “Truthfully, I didn’t think she’d do it. I hope the best for her and Cruz, especially navigating custody and legal.”
A third user commented, saying they’re happy Brittany is taking the next step but seemed to slam her for getting married to Jax in the first place.
“I’m glad she’s doing it,” they wrote. “I never felt particularly sorry for her, though. She knew exactly who he was when she married him. He may as well have been carrying a cardboard sign and bringing a bell.”
When Does Season 2 of The Valley Air?
Brittany and Jax’s marital struggles will be shown in The Valley’s next season. The cast confirmed the cameras were up and rolling and captured all of the drama fans were eager to see. In addition to Jax and Brit’s split, watchers can expect to see the former House of Villains contestant’s stint in an inpatient center.
They can also expect to see Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick’s relationship progress, Jesse and Michelle’s journey, and Lala Kent and Schena Shay hanging out with the group as well.
So, when will Season 2 air on Bravo? Well, we’re still waiting on the official announcement. However, given all the shows that recently wrapped filming, we know it’s coming soon (likely in 2025). In the meantime, Season 1 is available to stream on Peacock.
