A Nevada gym-goer didn’t just complain about two blocked emergency exits, he called the fire marshal on his own gym. He says he gave an employee a heads-up first, but nothing changed, so he escalated. Viewers are torn between calling him a hero for speaking up and saying he took it way too far.
Uploaded to TikTok by Nathan, who goes by @randompersonscrolling1, the video shows him explaining what pushed him to file the report on the Nevada gym. He says one exit was blocked by equipment, something he’d already flagged directly to an employee, who told him he’d look into it but never did.
The second issue was with a door leading to an outdoor “backyard” workout area. That space has no emergency exit of its own. The only way back inside is through a garage door that apparently leads right next to the first blocked exit.
Nathan goes on to argue that fire codes exist for a reason, framing them as rules “written in blood,” and says he wanted to speak up before anyone got hurt. According to a later update, the equipment was eventually removed.

Several commenters with direct experience in the field backed him immediately. “I work in fire prevention and fire code and you did right by everyone,” one shared.
Others brought the focus back to the business itself, arguing that profiting off members comes with certain obligations. “If they’re making money off people, they have a responsibility to keep those people safe,” one argued.
Some viewers tied the moment to a bigger point about speaking up in general. “We as ADULTS NEED TO SAY SOMETHING! Show kids that saying something can save a life or lives, even if it seems ‘weak,'” one user shared. Another added that acting early beats waiting until after a tragedy to explain why no one said anything.
Not everyone treated the situation as seriously, though. Some brushed off the danger entirely, with one saying there was never actually going to be a fire. Another pointed out it was “really just 3 med balls” blocking the door.
One commenter went as far as saying they’d kick the Nevada creator out entirely rather than thank him for speaking up. “Bro id cancel your membership and tell you to have a nice day,” they wrote.
